A view is generated when a viewer clicks on a video and watches it. However, people click - by mistake, sometimes just to increase views or when the creator does a clickbait. Therefore, unless the viewer watches for a certain time, the views are not calculated. It is possible that TH-cam's algorithm fixes numbers when it finds that some views are fake, based on certain patterns.

It's not a new thing. If you see my channel, there is a huge drop in views too. Gradually some day it is going to come up..!! This is common on youtube...!
