I have so much respect for Tom and the way he handles animals. Sadly we don't often consider an animals natural behavior before handling them. It's something that I have seen wayyy too many time in the horse community. Instead of using respect and the understanding of a horses behavior and herd mentality too many people think that can "break" them by sheer force and fear. It really breaks my heart. I'm glad that people like Tom exist to spread a message of safe, and kind handling methods in the reptile community.

I think people could learn alot by watching Tom handle these Snakes. Not just learn Handling Tech. for Vipers and Such but for ALL Snakes IMO... If people would take a tip or two from Tom and how he handles snakes it could help them handle aggressive snakes alot better too. I hope you get better soon your health comes first I live in New Zealand and we do not have snakes so I am terrified of them but when I went to Australia I got the privilege of holding a tree snake it wasn't big or anything but it was such a great experience for me it was amazing how gentle you need to be with such a delicate little reptile. I really liked Tom. his philosophy and way of handling venomous snakes can be translated into handling any other animal. its all about giving them the utmost respect and taking the time to handle them the proper way. I work with horses and would almost say the exact same thing about working with them. and also that purchasing an animal is not something you should take lightly

No shit green iguanas can be crazy. I believe i owned the most grumpy iguana ever. I ended up getting so distraught over him attacking me that i contacted a local breeder who traded me a juvenile water dragon for it. He wanted to see if he could tame him. Never happened. The thing actuall broke his glass enclose whipping his tail so hard. He even brok his own tail off smacking his next enclosure. About a year later he supposedly went completely yellow and died.
I really enjoyed this Vlog Brian. Very informative. Amazing to see ratllers so docile and not having a massive feeding response.Make sure you hydrate, you could have sunstroke after getting burnt. Take care

He was moving snakes and had 3 venomous snakes and left the door open while walking to the other room (next to his bedroom keep in mind too) and then went back to get the others and the door is still left open LOL
I follow both Viperkeeper and Brians videos as well. Brian since about 2011/2012 ish ever since snakebytes was its own channel. I primarly watch viper keeper for too look for when he feeds his gaboons and when he has a rattle snake as they are my favorite venomous snakes. I watch brians newer vlogs every day while getting ready to work. His positive vibe and attitude helps set the tone for the day. Im going to be getting my next snake from BHB as soon as i decide what i want and the terrarium needed. Already have a beardie whos almost a year old, and a Adult cornsnake I got as a rescue.

Now, as for invasive species in the everglades, that is indeed a problem, and must be addressed, but that is a man made problem, not made by the animals themselves. Like in the previous statements he's very careless by leaving the habitats open and walking away and then just dropping the animals in the middle of handling which isn't okay and he needs some lessons from Tom and Brian whom respect the animals and their history and how dangerous they can be but how awesome that they can also be if treated correctly.

viperkeeper being a goober aside XD i think the worse part about this chrisweeet guy is that since he does sanctuary work with animals, he believes everything ignorant he does is outweighed and not to be discussed, cause what have "YOU!?!?!??!?" done .....it hilarious and terrifying all at the same time.
viperkeeper in my opinion he knows the gist of handling snakes but he doesn't respect them. Like in the previous statements he's very careless by leaving the habitats open and walking away and then just dropping the animals in the middle of handling which isn't okay and he needs some lessons from Tom and Brian whom respect the animals and their history and how dangerous they can be but how awesome that they can also be if treated correctly.
