it's complicated. basically, the code says that SQ has to cross a distance threshold in order to do the longshot/shortshot. since you are standing still right next to her, the code would usually never do the longshot, making showdowning extremely simple. new CQC mechanics were implemented so that if SQ is too close to the player, she will dropslide in order to create enough distance. that's why she longshotted right after dropsliding. tl;dr she dodged to be able to longshot
