  • Watch my workflow as I start a new song in Band In A Box 2024. How to get a finger picked guitar to be consistent and true to your vision.

Thanks Brian!! This was very helpful !! I did not know how to use the multi riff feature properly. I do now. Like you i prefer to do nearly all the work in BIAB. Using the DAW just for last minute processing.

@@BandInABoxRevealed-ke5tp Brian, what version of BIAB are you using? Where are the best deals for Australian users?

@@TigerRogers0660 I recommend buying direct from PG music I find the Ultra pack is great value for money. PG music also allows you to pay in four monthly payments. I have the latest 2024 version and am a relative newbie. I'm learning as I go on my videos. I hope that helps.

An easier way to add separate chords to beats 3 and 4 is to type them in separated by a comma e.g to add C to beat 3 and D to beat 4 just type C, D into beat 3. Great video.

Thanks Phil, excellent advice! There must be heaps of keyboard shortcuts that I am yet to learn. Thanks for watching.

Learned so much from watching your workflow. Please complete next stage of the song when you find the time. Thanks.

What a well produced video. Good for you mate. An excellent introduction to a program where many tend to fall down the rabbit hole, but you kept it simple which is the way to dive in. Let me caution you on the use of bar markers (the blue bar numbers) which you use every two bars. You are using them for visual structure to the chart, but these force the drum to play a leadin prior to playing that bar. So your durms got very busy. But keep going and show us the rest of the arrangement.

Agreed. Bar markers will come into play as I build this song. Thank you for watching and commenting with knowledge and insight.

are you in 2024 version? if so how do you get to that view?

I can understand what you are doing, but would you not achieve the same or a better result if you actually played the progression on guitar or even a piano.

I may choose to play it myself. My question was "is it possible to achieve my original vision for the guitar part in biab"? I think my workflow suggests that, in this case, I can. Thanks for watching.
