Can you please tell me how long of a ride (distance and time) it is from Amsterdam to Hoorn. I do not plan on taking the ferry and riding through Zaanse Schans on the way. It appears you arrived in Hoorn in the evening, however, it also seems that it was not summer. Thanks.
After taking the ferry to Noord Amsterdam, the journey took me 4 hours, not counting a stop in Edam for lunch. If I didn't stop and was in a hurry though, it probably would have taken close to 2 or 2 1/2 hours. And yeah, it was March when I made the trip.
