The most important part of the video to me is the 2min-3min section where you go into details what's collected in the omni and what's not, including the Eaglemoss presentations. Thanks for that, useful information. I was going to get the Eaglemoss ones but I don't like the New Gotham part, I'm interested in the actual Murderer and Fugitive part, so now that I know that I will stick with the 2 paperback collections.
Thank you for the great review, Omar! I'm looking forward to receiving my copy. And it looks like we could use something like a Batman: Road to Murder Omnibus that collects the issues leading up to this.
I have the first Eaglemoss edtion, and the 2nd DC TPB, but I didn't know the story really starts AFTER those two volumes. So I just ordered this omni. Another invaluable overview!
I hope they have the puzzle in here. For those that don't know, each issue's cover had a puzzle piece. Once the puzzle was put together, it showed who did it.
If anyone is intrigued, the 4 eaglemoss books contain every issue in the omnibus plus the additional issues: Turning Points 1-5. Detective comics 742 - 774. Superman 168. So they are essentially a new gotham and Murderer/fugitive OHC set. They're harder to find though and will take up more space. I already have them which is the only reason I'm skipping this omni.
Enjoyed this storyline a lot when it came out. Love this whole era. Hopefully we'll get a couple of New Gotham omnis to close the gap between this and No Man's Land sometime soon.
Great video!I looked, but couldn't find a trace of those Eaglemoss books for sale in the US. I was able to sell my TPBs for a good price a few months ago to pay for this edition 😁
Some of the pieces you explained here helps reading the infinite crisis. For example, why Batman French kissed this woman Sasha in one the prelude stories.
I bought my copy yesterday, along with NML1/2. Omar, please, please, please, make a video on your custom DC omnis! I've watched your collections videos over and over again and I need to see then Red Hood and Robin omnibus you flash every time.
For me, the New Gotham content is excellent and is a natural prequel to Murderer/Fugitive. I would consider the omnibus alternatives in this case. Scott McDaniel is indeed awesome, while the other artists maybe not so much, so be prepared for variable art quality.
I have the recent paperbacks. Is it worth getting the Omni for the extra content? Or the Eaglemoss books? I usually try to get the most complete version of a story, but sometimes those tie ins are totally pointless.
The eaglemoss books collect everything in the omni plus the new gotham story essentially. They don't have any real extras like the omni does. So, there's a chsnce DC could make a new gotham omni in the future, but until then the eaglemoss books are better from a completist perspective, but you don't strictly need to read that first
Wow...never thought they would make this as a complete omni. But my question is...why dont they release complete numbers like #300-350, 351-400...etc? We have a lot that needs to be printed!
I honestly like it better this way. Marvel omni's look a bit too OCD for my liking. The eclectic look of DC omni's gives each book a unique identity of it's own.

Very excited for this one! One of the few cases where I will upgrade from the TPBs.
Gotta catch em all! Lol will have to add this to my inevitably long backlog. Great vid as always Omar!
Glad I'm not alone. Those backlogs are infinite......
@ yes feels like we will never get thru them lol
Cant wait to get this in hand and read it!
This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for!🙏
Looking very forward to this one. I owned al the floppies when they came out. Have not read since then. Great video as always Omar.
Thank you for the great review, Omar!

My copy is incoming ... can't wait !
I’ve been waiting on this!
Loved this back in the day. Especially Murderer. The origianl TPB actually flowed better for the overall story.

Mine is on the Way😊
Yes sir. 🦇
Are you gonna do a video of the new deathstroke omnibus?
How does this Batman omni’s story rank with the others? Is it among the best, middle, worst?
I bought my copy yesterday, along with NML1/2.
Omar, please, please, please, make a video on your custom DC omnis! I've watched your collections videos over and over again and I need to see then Red Hood and Robin omnibus you flash every time.
So, Omar, what would you change in the omnibus if I may ask?
Did I see a Tim Sale cover on Eaglemoss book 1?
When does this come out?

Should I read this after No Man's Land or wait to fill in the gap between the two?
Book isn't out yet in the direct or book market. Did DC send you this omnibus early?
Nope they didn’t. Some stores have it already.
I was hoping DC was finally working with you. Maybe in the future 🤞
Thanks Omar. Keep up the great work!
I think my deluxe editions have 20 to 30 more issues. Ill stick with them.
I read these in fat trades and did not know what was going on at times lol
90s comics were all over the place..i lost interest in collecting that decade but ended up buying them all years later to be a completist
Wow...never thought they would make this as a complete omni. But my question is...why dont they release complete numbers like #300-350, 351-400...etc? We have a lot that needs to be printed!
Iron man mighty marvel masterworks?
I really hated the art around this time.
The spine design for these Batman Omni’s are all over the place

@ I think there is a middle ground between boring marvel omni and whatever it is Batman omnis are doing 😂
@@Gardi93 well i will agree the knightfall ones are egregiously bad. I think those are unanimously hated, no matter who you are 😂
Sweet galloping Jesus, look at the size of that door stop!
First🎉
Bruce Wayne has always been a killer since age 10. If he didn't drag his parents to that Zoro flick in the ghetto they would still be alive today.
Ooo, hot take.
