Skirmish ION is definitely a bucket list event. Worth playing at least once on both sides. You want to play the hero/invader? Play the Allied side. You want to shoot at at waves of people or fight in the shade? Play on the Axis side
Theyre making a mech frame for the amp that is actually extremely easy to switch. Theres only one allen screw to remove and then you can just slip it on because of the new hinge design

Saw a video where a guy in canada was shooting it in -20°C and it shot flawlessly. Shockers aren't notoriously great in cold weather but the AMP seems to be doing better than the XLS. Edit: spelling

I am new to paintballing and can I get some advice for when should I maintenance my marker when I’m not playing like for example during Qurantine?? I have a dye czr
I suggest maintenancing your gun every other time you play. Do it when you get home. For me, I just lube the bolt and striker,clean the eyes,barrel and hopper, and that's pretty much it.

170r pro's: smoother shot, more tool-less features, better asa, incredibly reliable (especially in colder weather), tool-less bolt removal, low feed neck with easily adjustable knob. Cons: barrel (who doesn't buy a gun and upgrade/change the barrel anyways?) Shocker AMP Pro's: Better Barrel (that can be bought anyways), reliable ( however, if its anything like previous models it doesn't like cold weather), operating pressure is lower, great ergos (fits hands of some people better), Tool-less bolt removal, low feed neck with easily adjustable knob. Cons: more expensive than 170r (the extra money spent on this gun can buy a freak xl barrel kit for the 170r.) Cold weather issues, asa is small knob (harder to manipulate in in-climate weather scenarios). The asa is more of a knit pick but still for full disclosure. And last but not least, even at a lower operating pressure 105-110psi, the 170r is still a softer shot than the shocker AMP. feel free to tell me I'm wrong but this is just my opinion handling both. My setup is a 170r with st3 soft tip bolt, freak xl Barrel kit with carbon fiber tip 16" overall. Hyper deuce trigger, bunker kings ctrl, and Ninja SL2 Super Lite cerakote w/pro v2 reg.
Dude your logic is flawed. Of "Buying" it is even an option it should be for ALL the pros and cons. I can buy asa's and all that other stuff just the same as a barrel. This was just a comment downing shockers is all. An I'll tell you I own a XLS and a 170R and I will take the Shocker all day every day. Better ergo, the asa is MUCH better on the Shocker especially with paint hands. Pops asa suck ass. It's much easier to turn a knob. The bolts are literally almost the same on paint. The shocker is more efficient on air. Rather have eyes with Allen keys then topless ones. They're built WAY better. The 170r is a mile long with a 14in barrel when my shocker is shorter with a 16in. The battery is in a better place in the grip too me. Rather my gun be back heavy but that's preference. Not to mention by the time you buy the barrel for the 170r it's the same price. An above all else the CVO frame is much better than the mech frame. The AMP has been upgraded greatly from the XLS so I can only imagine how much better the amp is.

Also my pros and cons list is actually accurate. I couldve listed everything but i was making a point to show the shocker isnt worth the extra money especially how good of a value gun the 170r is. Everyone shits on the shaft barrel and thats all they have bad to say about the 170. I was saying for the price of the shocker you can get a xl freak barrel kit and a 170r.

An the XLS and 170r are comparable. On paper the XLS is better in every way. Air efficiency, lightness of the gun, it's aircraft grade aluminum and not some nylon 3d printed b.s, you don't have to go buy an extra barrel to make the gun work with other paint. Regardless what you say that's a selling point. You can't just be like "Oh you can go buy another barrel kit" that's literally defeating the point. That logic can be applied to any pros/cons. That's like saying "Oh but you could upgrade the ASA and bolt and it would be just as good." That makes zero since. Out the box the XLS is better. An there literally around the same price point new. Of course if you compare a gun that's six years old to one that just came out it's going to have a good price gap......but the XLS and the 170r on paper are more or less the exact same. It just comes down to that minimal preference. But go shoot an AMP an this won't even be an argument I'm dead serious. It's more comparable to the CS1 or CS2.

Operating Pressure: Let us the common 68/4500 for this example. 68×4500=306,000psi AMP 110psi 170r 135psi So AMP: 306,000÷110= Should be ~2,781 shoots; So 170r 306,000÷135= should be ~2,266 shoots. THESE NUMBERS DO NOT MAKE SENSE. Never seen any videos of either marker shoot that much. How much can each really shoot?
@@jbadkins Yeah, like stated above that's maybe a basic way to get a shot count off of something that was truly using 110 psi per shot, every single shot, and doesn't take into place the volume of the can and other variables. You see a drop in pressure when you increase the amount of space in the chamber and can, along with some refining and other engineering steps, they get a lower operating pressures. If it was all about operating pressures, mac dev has been at 100psi for their markers for quite awhile now and they don't get much hype in the states, and then you have the field one force that has a low operating pressures like all the flagship markers, yet it still only gets 7 or 8 pods out of a 68/4500 which is worse than my axe and my rsx. It's all a bit silly but these markers obviously will have a better shot feel than something running 200psi
on the amp does it come with more then one insert or is it just one and u have to buy more and how is that marker looking at the 170 but i do like the amp HELP PLEASE

He says that even the etha 2 is better than the shocker, he says he would buy 2 etha 2's over one shocker. But honestly on the used market you can get a shocker Amp for 450 and the etha 2 is ridiculous at 350
Myself I own a Shocker XLS and a PE 170r. The shocker is much better IMO. Lighter, ergo's, asa, barrel, efficiency, programming all go to the Shocker. PE makes a good marker but the XLS and AMP have shut down the mid-range marker market!!!

They’re both great. I’ve owned both. Would be happy running either. I have to disagree on on two points though: barrels are the most overrated waste of money there is and the asa is not better on the XLS. The POPS is the best ASA ever made. That’s just facts.
I personally like the shocker better I switched out a couple of the internal parts, it shoots surprisingly better than my Luxe Ice but it’s Personal preference tbh. But the dye guns require a lot of maintenance the M2 and the M3 I did not like.
Again disappointing if you go over to Ansgears channel and watch him break down both of these markers this conversation ends the moment you have to break these 2 guns down. 170r wins everytime the amp still has a very dated design which they are improving on but still is very complex, for this i feel Overall maintenance goes to the 170r all day long. For anyone who cares, a marker needs to shoot 15 bps, reliably and efficiently but it also has to be very easily maintainable. When your on the field and break paint you have to rip these to guns apart, the tournaments not stopping for you.... so have fun with that back up if paint gets somewhere it shouldnt in your amp.

CVO frame doesn't fit the AMP but the CC (Classic Conversion) frame for the AMP should be released in the coming months

I just wish they have it in stock

Get the 170r. The ST3 bolt basically makes a high end guns bolt system. Basically just a cheaper CS2
