I can imagine when the builders of this chateau finished it with that nice, clean granite, they were thinking, "This house will stand for a thousand years!" Which it undoubtedly will...it just looks so much better cleaned than it did dirty! Y'all are making great progress!
Amazing to see decades of dirt being removed on the Chateau's facade and steps! It really looks great! Can't wait until you are able to remove the rust from the metal 'overhang' and gates, then paint it all. But as with everything, all in due time.😊❤

It's a wonder to witness the rejuvenation of La Lacelle over the past two years, and we are looking forward to continued progress, and to learning what is known of her history! Incidentally, the iron and glass awnings (and the enclosure that was once on the back door) are called "marquises" in French - we in N. America call them "marquees".
