Is it actually good for the hair? I really like the smell. But the consistency / texture reminds me quite of sugar water, which I don’t like so much. It is less refreshing since it includes no alcohol.
The grooming tonic is more of a pre styling product. It is very sticky and is used more so for blow drying for volume and add some texture. Very different product.
I’ve been using Reuzel for years now. Found it in my mid-30’s, and I’ve drained cases of bottles since. Best stuff on the market, but you do pay for it. I find 2-packs on Amazon from time to time for about $28, and that’s not bad. But if you want the best, this is what it gets you.
@Adam's Hair Stuff I have straight, fine/thin Asian hair and I'm into hair care. You being a barber and a user of the Reuzel hair tonic, what is your opinion on the alcohol content in the product? Would it ruin the hair, because I mainly use water-based pomades that have a matte/natural finish so there's no use for me to break down oil-based pomades.
The alcohol actually works to clean the scalp and remove dead skin cells to give the hair room to grow. That’s what it’s intended for. Though that being said if you use too much, it can dry out the hair a little bit.

@@AdamsHairStuff i have no hard feelings about it if its you deleting or some algos. idc. i think you are a cool dude, i watched a few clips the other day and that doesnt change if we disagree about a product or maybe even whole brand or not and/or some commentsection nonsense if its seen by others or not. their product line isnt designed for me, i know that, i understand that, i'm not target market. but, in an a-b-x-blind-test their lineup would fail miserably in my book and in many others who are serious about performance, price/performance or positioning against competition of a product. there are too many too good products out there to score with that stuff or even put points on the board entierly. from a business standpoint i see their move and their play - i understand that move. from a pride of product/craft standpoint i disagree strongly with em. the second outweights the first by far bc of how i roll, treat myself and try to treat others. thats all gl

Thanks for checking out the videos I appreciate it even if there are some disagreements. Yeah I get that but at the same time there are definitely worse products and brands than Schorem and Reuzel. It’s definitely marketed towards the quantity side vs the quality for most of their products but the early ones like the pink, green pomades and the hair tonic I’d say are pretty solid if you compare them to other products in the same category.
cant comment on their hair stuff since i shave my hair forever. their shave and beard stuff is overpriced overhyped nonsensical garbage. i would word it otherwise if appropriate. tried 3 or 4, all low low bottom tier products. i mean they are almost comical, rip off since obviously brute-marketing their name and 'fame' while hot. business barber shop wise i salute them for their craft or whatever they got going - if i would care, their product line is end-comical. thats the truth. its like if we talk about eau de parfum/toilette and someone brings procter&gamble deodorant axe-effect-scent to the table of discussion comical🌲🌳🌿👀

Vitalis has always been the very best hair loation to use to comb your hair with. Has a super nice scent to it, great product.

Just received some of this product this week. Very nice scent. Definitely a welcome addition to my hair care rotation.
Can you use the Reuzel Grooming tonic (blue) before applying pomade? Will it dilute the pomade or can it enhance it as a base layer?
does this and the grooming tonic smell the same?
