You should transcribe the Groundhog Day jazz variation as a companion to this
@@Klabbity_Kloots Still pretty damn good for computer-generated movements made with a self-organizing model.
@@Teth47 Oh, I completely agree. Don't get me wrong.
Make it play rush E
SMB is getting classical recently. And I love it.
Much better than "can you play yoshi's island boss theme day 378383"
Hagahha so true
@@Symonch_ facts
Bruh they have always been posting classical pieces here and there, do you even watch them?
@@silver5796 Before this, they dont post classical pieces frequently. I think.
Fun Fact: This variation is actually Paganini's Caprice 24 flipped upside down and added with more romantic elements to make it sound original but the inspiration still comes from Caprice 24
Yes it’s called negative harmony and it is interesting. Rachmaninoff is by far my favorite composer
Love that so.much... it was that easy... just flip it over
Flipped how ? Played backwards ?
@@haroos upside down I think
@@haroosif an interval goes up a semitone in the caprice it goes down one in this variation
It's almost impossible to believe how genius both Rachmaninoff and Paganini were, thank you SMB keep up these magnificent classic songs pleaaaaase♥️
The anthem of the Time Loop. It's one of my favorites because it's featured in two of my favorite movies: "Somewhere In Time" and "Groundhog Day"
Same here, l learnt to play this piece too but l play it in D. The films truly are wonderful especially somewhere in time.
goosebumps every time I listen
This might be the three most beautiful and moving minutes of music ever written. I've seen the orchestral/piano version of the Rhapsody live, as audience members, including myself, wiped away tears. I just wish Rachmaninoff had written something us mere mortal pianists could play!
Rachmaninoff's hands were huge, his left hand could block-chord C-E flat-G-C with fingers 5,4,3,2.. while his thumb played the G above all that! I feel like a kindergartener with little hands trying to play some of his stuff.
This was one of my favourite pieces to record for SMB! Hope this tutorial helps anyone studying the piece 😊
If people are studying this piece by watching a Synthesia tutorial I'm embarrassed on their behalf.
@@maliziosoeperverso1697 True. Why not use sheet music?
@@imdark7372 I'm very much a sheet music advocate, but I once came across a student who had learned the first few pages of the Rachmaninoff/Kreisler Liebeslied entirely from synthesia tutorials.
It was honestly an inspiring display of devotion. His score reading eventually caught up with his ambition, but I think the tutorials allowed him a temporary shortcut to attempting the music that inspired him.
@@LukeFaulkner Thats nice! but imo, starting to play piano with sheet music may seem hard, but in the end its very worth it
@@LukeFaulkner RIGHT!!! That’s the thing about being a beginner pianist. You just want to jump right into learning the music that inspires you (which is usually hard stuff) and being a entry level sheet music reader, you have no chance of being able to put any of it together. At the very start you’re literally limited to reading nursery rhyme type music like hot crossed buns. It completely turned off learning “to play” piano for me cuz the process was so damn boring. Now I’m more casual and don’t even care about reading; I just wanna play cool stuff. I just watch synthesia tutorials and learn the songs I like. It actually works really well, just takes a lot of patience and dissecting.
Can you do the ‘’Battlerock Galaxy’’ from Super Mario Galaxy please? It’s such an amazing tune.
There needs to be a love button for TH-cam so you will know who absolutely loved this
Absolutely loved this!
I like how this channel stays relevant to todays hits but still keeps the classics and unforgotten beautiful compositions.
beautiful piece
"Ground Hog Day " .Bill Murray woke up one day without any piano playing experience and ..like magic ..played this piece
been waiting for this foreverrrr thank u
That was quite beautiful. Transport-worthy.
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAV PIECE AND I WILL LEARN THIS ONE DAY
*WOAH, HANDS?!?!?*
It's kinda surreal seeing one of you guys actually playing a piece after years of just seeing the notes decend and hit the digital piano!
Edit:
... Now seems like a good time to go to bed.
You know that's no human right?
Those are digital hands that they generated with the program they mentioned in the beginning. You can notice them sliding around, clipping into each other, and even missing some of the keys when hitting them would require actual technique.
@@inigodiazderabago9254 ... I am an absolute dumbass.
I didn't really take a close look at it and just figured it was them playing! Maybe if I had actually paid attention I would've of realised *the hands literally morph through each other* !!!
Thanks for pointing that out man, I think I need my bed. XD
the surreal thing is that we've been robots this whole time 💀

If I'm allowed to suggest a song, I would love the Enchanting Grom Fright or the credits theme from The Owl House, because sadly, it's coming to an end. So I would be very happy for that.
