    Absolutely love the videos! Mainly because your tutorials are closer to the current fusion version the most of the fusion videos out there. Thanks for taking your time to do these.

    Kevin, what else can I say. Absolutely bloody fantastic mate! A very informative video which just goes to show me how much I actually don’t know. Congratulations buddy, you nailed it 👊

    Of course we would like to see you sketch up the grip !! Silly question ! Thirsty Fusion users here !!

    Fascinating!! Can't wait to see the parts machined, a CAD video would certainly be interesting as well! Thanks

      I'm interested to see the CAM run too. I'm sure Aaron will do a great job when he machines them.

    Great video. A definite vote to see the CAD video. About a year ago I tried to create the grips in Fusion but just couldn't figure out how to do. Tried again today after seeing the video and I'm still not getting it to work. Looking forward to seeing how you drew it.

      Hi Joe. I'll see what I can do. I may even see if Morgan Oliff can post it on his channel. I'm going on a pretty crazy travel schedule for a little bit again starting this week, but I'll do my best.

    Oh yeah... forgot to mention. I'd really like to see the grip drawn and being cut out. Just turned on notifications. Thanks !

    WOW ! Just put a knurl effect on the grip WITHOUT sketching and extruding it. I am impressed !!

      I hope you had. a chance to check out the Instagram links to the grips that Morgan Oliff did. If you do, note that the pattern that is generated is all done via the same sort of method I did with the parallel tool path with axial offset. He uses a different tool path for his, but he didn't draw anything either, except the cobra logo of course.

    Thanks for replying there is no question that you are absolutely a professional at what you do and the presentation of your videos are very technical I’ve been designing drones for about four years end it would be absolutely fantastic and explaining to your audience me being one of them a step-by-step explanation of the process of 3-D coding I’ve owned a Step craft 840 for about two years and done many many parts in carbon fiber but my customers also require 3-D designed parts and I would like to step it up to the next level of perfection like in your case..... it would be great for you to create a video of your knowledge in the world of machining step by step level by level each parameter of the phase of 3-D machining I think your audience would highly appreciate that and to give us an insight how did you get to that level of machining that you do I also saw the video on the 1911 grip absolutely phenomenal piece of hardware that machine is again thank you very much for your reply and looking forward to your future videos on this topic

    Great video. Is there a video on how the models were made in Fusion. I am trying to make some for my 3d resin Printer.

    I'm disappointed you didn't do that in metric for Aaron.

    • @MechanicalAdvantage
      @MechanicalAdvantage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Scott Moyse What is this ‘metric’ you speak of? 😂 I had limited time for this one so I didn’t get the time I wanted to do it in metric. Maybe next time.

      petiyo101 Hi. This will be made from aluminum. I think it looks deeper than it really. Is. .030” (less than a 32nd of an inch). It shouldn’t give any problems.

      Quinn Hale Let’s tag @dctteacher1 and see if he appears to answer that question. I did the toolpathing and then Aaron Powter posted his own gcode from that file.

      Hello Quinn. To machine this part I used Fusion360 CADCAM and my SyilCNC X7 combo milling machine. The post processor was created for me by Scott Moyse from CADPro (see his comment above). I think it was the generic Fanuc post that edited for me.

    Absolutely a great video he obviously is an expert at what he's doing but he failed to explain it to the audience which are not as intuitively as he is it would be great to slow down and explain exactly what he is doing and not go at A ballistic pace leaving the audience with 1 million questions would be nice to make a video explaining exactly what he is doing step by step

    • @MechanicalAdvantage
      @MechanicalAdvantage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      He thanks you for stopping by to watch and comment. He isn’t sure why you are talking about him in the 3rd person though ;-)
      In all seriousness, I’d be happy to answer any questions you have as well as get some feedback to what I need to do slower. You are right that sometimes when you use this software a lot, you forget the little things that seem obvious but aren’t. So let me know and I’ll try to keep that in mind for future videos. I’ll also say that making these can be challenging at times. Some people will email to say I am going to slow and need to speed up. Some people say it’s too fast. I try to balance it out a little based on the topic.
      This one was slightly more of an advanced CAM video, so with that in mind I may have had the expectation that some of the things shown in the video would be already mastered knowledge. Thanks for the comment!
