  • A federal agency that investigates workplace discrimination says the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department retaliated against a former battalion chief who said she experienced hostility and discrimination. She spoke with News4’s Drew Wilder about her experience.

    That dept hasnt left the 50s yet.....very sad. I wish her and the rest of the female fire employees the best of luck.

    now it is clear as to why several members resigned they are the ones who support the old chief who allowed female firefighters to be sexually harassed, including the former female chief. the county fire dept is under DOJ investigation so make THAT be the issue. That kind of behavior is not tolerated at any fire or EMS department. As a volunteer first responder, I would not tolerate it either from anyone and I would see to it anyone caught doing it would be terminated on the spot.
