this guy is so good. In jazz, guitar is generally not my favorite instrument, but Kreisberg just has a sound of his own. Love the little vamp in this after each verse.
If this is him trying out a guitar, I can only imagine what him playing one he is used to sounds like. Beautiful playing. I like the acoustic chime of the arch top.
I’ve been looking for the phrase that describes what you’re talking about… I’m really trying to figure out how to get a tone that brings out that more organic acoustic chime that you’re talking about. It sounds so good. I can hear it with my tone now, but I want to bring it out more
Love how he brings modern 'guitar hero' inspired techniques to classy jazz. Love the way he moves away from standard jazz arpeggios to modern sweep picking... so great to listen to; (he must have listened to a lot of guitar greats, including those coming from the rock universe).
A new guitar, with fresh strings sure sounds brighter. But tone is also about the amp, effects etc. you cannot really say... in addition, this guitar has been designed by Pat's specs; therefore tonally wise it's not too far from a Gibson 175...
It’s great to see that it’s the player and in the touch . As long as the thing is intonated and the action is at a spot you like - you don’t need the coveted 1959 super duper collectible brand of legends to produce a good sound.
Beautiful. I was wondering what a PM200 sounds like with a, relative to Pat, clean sound and still played by a master. Now I know. Jonathan has a lot of reverb but it's tastefully low in the mix so you can still hear the clean PM200's sound up front. I like it; very comparable to a 175. Looks like Jonathan gets around on it fairly well, yet there are points in this piece where I sense that he is not "at home" - which is not the fault of the guitar. It may just be different, not better or worse.
Every stuffs are perfects such as sense of melody over the progression chords, phrasing, timing, real perception of changes with the rights target notes and more... Great
this guy is now among best few world top jazz gtr players. Slow climb but oh my god where did he land still young and ... for the ladies, so frigging handsome?
I like that guitar quite a bit. Flat Wounds? Heavy Guage? Probably even more. You are Brilliant dude. I appreciate that you can actually Think and Play at the same time. I tend to get Lost in the emotion. Bi Isma Allah, Salamun Ala Jonathan: Samadu, Hayu, Qayum, Qudusu, Qadiran, Qaharu, Salamu, Nurun Ala Nurin, Haqu Ala Haqi!
wow incredible played. I practise the original song from the record but my improvisation sucks. This is completely improvised. Very high level and beautiful played.
Just so creative and beautiful. Possibly the best I have listened to. Was that the Jazz Chorus behind you and did you play through that and the Fender? Anyway, the PM200 sounds amazing through your hands! 🎶
The Bentons are rather good guitars, but unfortunately, they don't have a hollow body guitar on offer. As we all know, that makes it downright impossible to jazz with one.
@@martinkrauser4029 You can jazz with any guitar with a neck pickup and a tone control...just check Ulf Wakenius with his cheapo bolt on Les Paul knock off...with Pat Metheny playing rhythm guitar !!
When the dog bites, When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad.
I simply listen to Jonathan Kreisberg
And then I don't feel so bad

I really like this. Some baroque sounds. Incredibly melodic. Performance is out of this world! Super inspiring
He is playing from his soul and heart. Lots of feeling on his notes. Love😊
When I got my PM 200nt I pretty much started playing just like him ! 😜
I like the Tambora towards the end. A lovely and original arrangement of this classic song.
Anyone who knows that it's called 'Tambora' gets my vote!

I’ve had the pleasure of having him as a guest teacher during my studies. He mentioned Holdsworth as one of his biggest influence
Yep, he started as rock player in his teens, then go into Jazz Fusion then went full into Straight Ahead.
One deepest explorers to ever to look into this instrument and this music and find what lies there. Thanks Jonathan.
Wow! Amazing feel, rhythm, sound, touch, just out of this world, congrats
So warm & beautiful! Perfect Sound with the DR.
Man... such an amazing time feel
I want to hear that all day long, so awesome!
Thanks for the upload! What an incredible player.
omg finally good recording of the maestro life!
Out of this world
thanks for the video !!!!!
pure gold!
Absolutely wonderful. He is a guitar genius. So inspiring...
just came across this as there is so much to listen to. This guys is a monster.
la mejor versión que he escuchado; gx por compartir tu arte😊
You can hear it's way brighter than his ES175 ..... his regular tone is much warmer than that
I hear more bass
I like darker tone, anyway, the EQ setting can solve this

This is INSANE the man is on fire
Wow, what an incredible arrangement...Beautiful playing
Pure improvisación, .
Chord melody mastermind!!very intresting approach,Arragment.
That made my day ❤❤❤
Very accomplished playing with a fantastic sound and sensitive articulation.
A great solo guitar performance..

This guy is something else, inspiring I feel like playing!!!!”
Simply the best out there today
My God, you are truly a beast man. This is wonderful. Pd that Pat Metheny signature is gorgeous.

sublime Mr. Kreisberg!
Amazing player, Jonathan is out of this world.
Beautiful song from my childhood thank you
素晴らしい!
¡Excelente! ¡Maravilloso!
Ridiculously great player!
Immenso Kreisberg!!!
Wonderful!
I am also learning this arrangement, it is very hard but sounds great when you start to get it
Is there a transcription of this available? That would be incredible to learn that head arrangement.
Splendor!
Mindblowing! Thank You!
So beautiful, thank you.
One word..........Brilliant !
Magic!!!
Fantastic, the sound shines like a diamond!! ThX!!
Perfecto sence of ritmo.
Really beautiful!
Best version yet!
Great, beautiful Jonathan!

Complete Mastery! Thank You for posting!
Spectacular. What a super jazz guitarist.
Absolutely marvelous. Thank you.
greatttttttttttt
And did he like the guitar? For myself I have a PM100 and I love it!
Fantastic version, congrats. Beautiful guitar tone.
That augmentation is great
Amazing...
Wow that was special ,
Nice !!
this guy is now among best few world top jazz gtr players. Slow climb but oh my god where did he land still young and ... for the ladies, so frigging handsome?
me wondering if this song could be played in chord/melody fashion and this guy answering by absolutely torching it. unreal talent.
tiene profundidad, con control busca traspasar sus límites, hace sonar esa ibanez, el contrapunto es acertado, es un buen arreglo del tema
Goddamn, man... That's some great playing!
I like this so much! I know I may not compare but I love this sooo much better than the version of John McLaughlin!
It’s beyond the words.. thank a lot for the share !
Crazy !!
A true guitar hero
すごい!
Greatness
Wauuw Beautiful !!
Wouldn't be surprised if it it turned out all Animals as Leaders actually were interpretations of old songs like this one.
exceptional.
Great
Beautiful stuff man.
impressive..!!
I know it’s been mentioned but I love his somewhat Baroque tendencies. As a huge Bach fan and jazz guitar fan this guy is perfect
ลายเซ็นของคุณ มันชัดเจนเหลือเกิน
Yes!!!
❤❤❤
Lots of interesting counter point which is rare in jazz guitar....Can tell he's studied up on some Bach pieces....
Fabulous, and the guitar has great dynamics, much better than a 175 that would be often boxy and dull
Hi. Wow, I taught you when you were just a lil kid...I remember everything. Did you stick with it? 🙏

Wow
Great playing yes but not many comments on the guitar?
Ok, it's not funny anymore. Where is the second guitar player hidden?
ha-ha))
First listening to the record I actually thought there were 2 guitar players for a minute
🙂👍Niceness!
Well he sold me on that guitar!
wow incredible played. I practise the original song from the record but my improvisation sucks. This is completely improvised. Very high level and beautiful played.
I bet he practiced this tune like a madman tho

You are allowed to do any kinds of weird facial expression if you are this good
My PM200 ( 2013 ) is an excellent guitar but the topkam breedte is not 43 mm as Ibanez says ! Is 44,5 almost 45 mm !
I think he likes it.
Great,like always Jonathan!
Is that a PM model?
PM200
Jonathan would make a 200€ Harley Benton sound like a 9000 USD Gibson Custom Shop.... it's all in his fingers
The Bentons are rather good guitars, but unfortunately, they don't have a hollow body guitar on offer. As we all know, that makes it downright impossible to jazz with one.
Love it Martin Krauser 😂

Awesome! What amp was he plugged into...the Deluxe or the Jazz Chorus on the floor behind him?
@@ccat9354 Thanks...
whats the tone trick when he starts his single lines does anyone knows? Its like delay but it is not.
You’d make a mandolin sound like a million bucks
