People complain about the GS tackle saying it's op, but they just think that cause they watch good players slay tougher mobs in like 2 min and make it look ez. Don't try and break good weapon mechanics cause you're a butt lancer or whatever u do.
yeah, tackle is practically the same as lancer counter attack, at least these mechanics require good timing to be strong , unlike some other weapons bullshit
GS sniping is still a thing I see. It took quite a while to get the KO, I would assume it's much faster with normal HR monsters. I think this is still a viable build for safe moderately fast hunts. Sure it's not the God mode build it once was but certainly still doable as seen here especially if you learn to shortcut the 3rd charge like you have. Well played good Sir.

Same, I had low rank odogaron/zorah set with zorah LS and it took me 24 minutes. Intense fight the first time around. Didn’t get to fight him in the beta.

David T is your sharpness blue? The lower the sharpness the greater the chance a bounce back happens. And btw the fastest times so far are with the bow and the hammer.
Hit n run is not that good anymore, unless you love your full green health bar. Now, GS is all about taking a hit and counter it with powerful attack IMO.
Aaah sorry, let me rephrase it. Hit n run tactic is not that good, at least for speed kill, because I need to access 3rd charge in every moment possible. But, it is still very good for normal hunt, because in the end, you're still dealing damage to the monster.
*spoiler* the name of the GS is called the purgatory atrocity. Legendary rank 8 greatsword with 1000 plus raw damage and 100 plus dragon damage. It requires pieces of nergigante and the last boss of the game xenojinith to create such a monster of a weapon. Plus 53000 zenny to craft. Once you possess it...you are a god. But that all depends of your gear and what decorations you use of course to further enhance your godlike powers.
of course you are using an ultra overpowered end game armor set this is no good guide for beginner who wish to farm for first strong equipment but nice video
It's a speedrun. If you are a beginner don't worry about the set. A good all around set is rathalos. You can farm him at the same point you unlock diablos (I'm assuming you're LR still).

Anyway, for GS, if you're meeting this guy for the first time, I suggest Tobi-Kadachi since it has pretty good raw and thunder element, which is this guy's element weakness.

my greatsword never bounced off anything when doing the final strike of the "true charge", maybe it's just that attack
U can do way better man once u have the rocksteady unlocked its way easier. Even I managed to kill Nergigante in 2:46.
