I have to keep telling myself that a voice like her's has a life span of its own and I should be glad to have recordings of Anna then and another Anna of today. Both Anna's are stellar.

La verdad difiero un poco de su opinión. Era una estrella bella, graciosa e hizo una dupla de ensueño con Rolando. Él perdió la voz, ella ganó mucho peso tal vez para ganar resonancia al
emitir la voz y por abordar roles disínbolos ha echado a perder su voz pienso que sólo se tornó mas potente pero pienso que la mayoría de roles que aborda actualmente los ejecuta de manera mediocre. Su Aída no me gustó, su Adriana lecuvreur tampoco, su Norma menos. En fin.

NO, it is about wrong singing, so called thick singing... :( The voice is just less and less developed... And her voice is not biger, just darker, but that is fake darkness... try to listen Tebaldi, Rosa Ponsele, they had big voices :)
Some don't but it is probably they enlarge their toraxes because of so much breathing exercise.

Actually the charm in the Opera Ball is not very discreet: there are some toilettes that are strikingly vulgar. You can find "discreto encanto" in the Philarmonyker Ball and in the Jägerball which is la créme de la créme of vienneese society, a very special reactionary bourgeosie.

Welch appart jener Sinne, versucht glanzvoll und hochnäsig-naiv das doch ist.... Kommentatoren welche durch die Musik sprechen, mit den Handys sehende Zuschauer... Das ist, so würde ich aus dem Fenster gelehnt sagen kein Kunst-genießendes Publikum, das ist Selbstrepräsentation und kultuszwang auf höchstem Niveau.... Die wahren Werte, transzendentailer Liebe in der Kunst sind schon längst erloschen...
Es war immer nur Selbstdarstellung und es hatte meistens nichts mit der Kunst selbst zu tun... Leider! Dekadenz, schlechtes Benehmen, ist heute mehr denn je an der Tagesordnung, wenn es um den Wiener Opernball geht. Es ermüdet den wahren Freund der Kunst eigentlich eher, als dass er einen noblen Ball hier erleben darf mit hohem Niveau...

Dr. Wilhelm Furtwängler, einer der besten Dirigenten (seiner und wie ich ferner behaupte, unserer Zeit) griff einst Goethe auf, tradition muss verstanden und gelebt werden, immer wieder auf's neue hin. Eine 9 Symphony Beethovens z.B. kann man nicht "auf Eis legen", sie existiert nur solange, wie Europa existiert! So ist es doch mit allen Künsten, wer die Liebe negiert, negiert auch die Kunst, denn Kunst ist doch wahrlich die Liebe! Liebe sehe ich in solchen "Bällen" recht wenig, besonders heute nicht.... Ich könnte mir vorstellen das dieser Trend, des gekonnten SCHAUSPIELS, immer extremer wird, bis es nichts anderes mehr ist, als eine Art Film oder Erlebnisshow.... Nun so gebt dem Volk Brot und Spiel (es kann ja nicht sein zu viel)

Without the protection of a famous wife, Eyvazov´s career would be limited to minor opera houses. He is a mediocre tenor, that´s all.
He is not mediocre - he honestly has a beautiful timbre, and his intonation suffers fewer problems than his wife's. I don't think he compares well to world-class singers (that last note in his and Anna's duet was frankly ghastly from him), but he is far from mediocre, and deserves credit for doing a perfectly decent job.

Don't the commentators realize we want to pay attention to the music. Their constant jabber is beyond irritating, it is down-right discourteous to the performing artist and the listeners. There is more than enough space for celebrity idolaters on social media without reducing a great classical music occasion into a veritable circus.

I agree that there is a sense of vulgarity about it - as though the Classical world is trying to assimilate to the pop culture. Honestly, it suddenly became completely tolerable when the music began.

Тётки завистливые,нормально Анна выглядит.Эффектный наряд"Русалка"на ней смотрится.Это бальный наряд.В нём двигаться очень даже можно,тем более она опирается на руку своего любимого оруженосца.Но,к сожалению,на прогоне(репетиции)Анна пела лучше,очень заметно придыхание,на верхах.Видимо,темп исполнения ей уже не по силам.
