If the law is written on the hearts of His children, and sanctification is done by God from within, let the temple that He is alive in, to be cleansed. But we are UNDER grace and not under the law, so we must be sanctified from within, but on the outside we are washing the feet of those we cross paths with, through His grace and mercy for those that are still lost. The world is the field. The seed is the word of God. Use the talents He has given you, to be the faithful servant that will sow where He has not sown, because as a faithful servant, we know He reaps where He has not sown. God bless and i love all of you! Seek the kingdom within first!

The verbal law is the Pharisees made traditions that built a fence around Torah law. It gets even more sinister as to they say that even if God spoke a command the Pharisees could over ride what God himself spoke. The rules about washing hands and the time where the disciples were eating of the grain on the sabbath that was a made up law of the Pharisees or verbal law.

Why do we Christians say it's okay to not keep Sabbath and dietary laws but murdering and adultery are not okay. Contradiction much? We don't get to pick and choose what law we like and don't like.

    • @geriallen7443
      @geriallen7443 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I like this comment but I don't think there's a contradiction. Some laws just become outdated. For example, the speed limit may be 55 on the interstate 20 years ago but today it's 70. The fines for 55 are longer applicable and there are new fines for going over 70. The Old Testament penalties for a woman being on her cycle are outdated. Our hygiene has changed immensely making these laws obsolete. Plz tell me what u think.

@@geriallen7443 Its sounds like you're trying to rationalize lawlessness. We don't fully know the reasons behind the laws about being clean and unclean. The Bible doesn't say women are unclean during menstruation because of hygiene so we probably shouldn't assume it. Its similar to people rationalizing the dietary laws away by saying we have proper storage and other things for our food now. They had fire to cook with long ago. If they would have put a freshly slaughtered pig on the fire it would have been just as safe as it would be now, but still unclean. I think a lot of us have lost reverence for the Lord and so don't put enough emphasis on following Him in our lives. My understanding of this is the "LAWS" were NOT "CHANGED". The original GREEK word used here "metatithemi # metathesis" which means to TRANSFER - NOT - CHANGE. It has been translated incorrectly. These verses are speaking about the LAWS pertaining to the "SACRIFICIAL , the TEMPLE and the TEMPLE SERVICES.
The TEMPLE - "transferred - those IN Yeshua are now the TEMPLE build up as "LIVING STONES" (not manmade bricks), on the "foundation" of the Old Testament, of which Yeshua is the "CORNERSTONE".
The " ANIMAL sacrifice", transferred to Yeshua (Christ the LAMB of Yahweh/God), who laid down his life down as a "substitute" for our lives, taking the "CURSE" that was upon us "You shall surely DIE" both physically and spiritually", because ALL mankind has SINNED. (Adam's/Eve generations) and became "You shall surely LIVE" through and because of Yeshua.
The INCENSE - transferred from the incense table to our prayers directly to Yahweh in the name of Yeshua (Yeshua's Righteous MERIT).
The MENORAH. The "LIGHT", "OIL", WICK" (on the Menorah rep. The TREE of LIFE transferred to the "believers" - grafted into the TREE of LIFE. We SHINE the LIGHT of Yahweh, by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
The SHEWBRED - 12 loaves - the WORD of Yahweh (the BREAD of LIFE" (Spiritual food that feeds the SOUL).
The LAVER - WE are "cleansed by the WASHING of the WORD (and being purified by the fire of the Holy Spirit (the Baptism of the Holy SPIRIT and fire).
The ALTER - "We are to be a "living sacrifice", as Yeshua did, by laying down our WILL and seeking Yahweh's/Gods WILL (our obedience).
The HIGH PRIEST - transferred to Yeshua our Messiah.
The Levite Priesthood - transferred to those who "believe and follow Yeshua" (a Royal Priesthood).
The "VEIL" - (torn) Yeshua's body was torn, beaten, so that we may enter into the Holiest Place where Yahweh is seated on the throne of a "His multiple mercy and grace".
The ENTRANCE. The DOOR - Yeshua is the WAY to the Father Yahweh/God. ("No one comes to the Father but THROUGH ME"). ETC. The SABBATH, the FEASTS (celebrated spiritually), and the DIETARY LAWS STILL APPLY.)
The ARK that holds the "10 Commandments" inside it, was written (on STONE) and given before the "SIN" (of the golden calf) and "rewritten" (now WRITTEN on our hearts) by the finger of Yahweh. There is so much more to this.

    Mathew 22:
36 “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love Yahweh thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The term hang indicates that God’s laws point to either loving God, loving your neighbor or loving you’re your neighbor and God. It is interesting that these very commands, referred to by Jesus are indeed not new as they exist in the Hebrew scriptures, which Jesus was making reference. Loving your neighbor was already instituted within Yahweh’s laws as can be found in Leviticus 19:18
“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as
    yourself. I am Yahweh”
We can also see that loving God is not a new command as it too is found in Duet 6:5
“And you shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
Jesus therefore was not giving a new command or replacing the ones that existed otherwise he would be adding to God’s word in violation of Deuteronomy 4:2
“Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of
Yahweh your God that I give you.”

    Luke 1:5-6 KJV
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
The words to eternal life are Jesus's commands and teachings. Some may say we don’t have to keep the Sabbath day, feast days or the dietary laws because they were part of the Law of Moses, but the Law of Moses was a separate law that consisted of the law of animal sacrifices, not the Ten Commandments which were given to Moses directly from God or the feast days and dietary laws. In order to be saved we must obey Jesus, we can find before Jesus came to Earth and dwelt with man, he was Melchisedec King of Salem who Abraham honored with a tenth of his possessions, the great I AM who appeared to Moses, and Jehovah Almighty who gave Moses the Ten Commandments and led the children of Israel out of Egypt.
    Hebrews 6:20 KJV
Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
    Hebrews 7:1-3 KJV
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; [2] To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; [3] Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
These first few verses in Hebrews 7 show that Melchisedec met Abraham back in Genesis 14:18-20 KJV: “18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all,” and later was made like unto the Son of God. We know that Melchisedec is without father, mother, descent, having neither beginning of days or end of life and is an immortal priest. This person cannot be the Father because Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and the only one who has seen the Father. No man including Moses who God showed his backside to has seen the Father. Moses saw the back of Jehovah, who is Jesus. John 1:17-18 “[17] For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. [18] No man hathseen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” No man who has ever lived on Earth, but Jesus has immortality. (1 Timothy 6:13-16 KJV ). Only Jesus, the Son of God, fits the description of Melchisedec.
The second half of Hebrews 7 further elaborates how Jesus as the high priest of the order of Melchisedec, came to change and replace the old Levitical priesthood. . The only change in the old and new covenant was the mediators. The mediator in the old covenant under the Levitical priesthood was Moses, the new mediator under the new covenant is Jesus. The Levitical priests oversaw the administration of the animal sacrifices for sin. Because the Messiah had not come, the Israelites needed a sin sacrifice so God would not kill them. The wages of sin is death, so the lambs, goats, bulls, turtledoves, ect. died in their place. This law was carnal and could never give anyone eternal life. Moses prophesied God will raise another prophet like him and they will listen to Him (Deuteronomy 18:15-19). Jesus is this prophet. At his resurrection and ascension to Heaven, he became our new mediator for the new covenant under Melchisedec which replaced the old covenant’s mediator under the Levitical priests. Hebrews 7:23-28 “[23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: [24] But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. [25] Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. [26] For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; [27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. [28] For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.”
    Hebrews 10:1-13 KJV
[1] For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. [2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. [3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. [4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.[5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: [6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. [7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. [8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; [9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. [10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.[11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:[12] But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God; [13] From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
These two scriptures, John 8:52-58 and Exodus 3:13-15, establish that Jesus is the great I AM.
    John 8:52-58 KJV
Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. [53] Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? [54] Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: [55] Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. [56] Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it and was glad. [57] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? [58] Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.
    Exodus 3:13-15 KJV
And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? [14] And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. [15] And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
Isaiah 12:2-3 establishes the fact that Jesus is Jehovah, our Messiah. Through believing in him and keeping his commandments, can we receive eternal salvation.
    Isaiah 12:2-3 KJV
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. [3] Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
We must keep Jesus’s commands, so what Jesus (who is Jehovah, Melchisedec, the great I AM) commanded the children of Israel to do which was to keep his Sabbath, his feast days, and dietary laws we must do also. The Gentiles are grafted into holy olive tree which represents Jesus Christ alongside the natural branches which represent Israel. These laws are spiritual (not carnal like the law of animal sacrifice), and last forever (Psalm 111:7-8). The laws of God come from the Father and were given to his Son Jesus to preach to the world for eternal life. John 17:5-8 KJV “[5] And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. [6] I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. [7] Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. [8] For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.” When we obey Jesus, we are obeying the Father. The commands and teachings of Jesus all come from the Father. The only change in the covenant was the mediators. The mediator in the old covenant under the Levitical priesthood was Moses, the new mediator under the new covenant is Jesus. Since Jesus came in the volume of the book, the commands given to him by the Father in the old testament have not changed.

Well lets all start sacrificing animals again... oh we cant we have no temple. Jesus repeated the Noatic laws and Love of god and neighbor, not the torah. Nowhere in the new testament is the torah ever put upon the believer yet over 60 times are references to the Law/Torah passing away and not applying, and causing one to fall from grace is... Literally if you cannot see this then you have a 3rd grade readers ability or less.

David, I basically followed you and liked your emphasis on the context. Certainly, the Torah has not been done away with or replaced. You explained that Yeshua can function as our High Priest since He is from a different priesthood. Thus, there is a "different law" or "change of the law" (Heb 7:12) because the law that governs the heavenly tabernacle is different from the Levitical laws that govern the earthly tabernacle. However, the phrase, "change of the law," suggests that the law governing the heavenly tabernacle is operating and not the Levitical laws that were fulfilled in Christ. Therefore, in my reading of the text, the word "change" is significant. If I change my clothes, I do not put on the same clothes. Similarly, if there has truly been a change in the law, then both priesthoods are not functioning simultaneously. The shadows have been fulfilled by Christ, and indeed "the substance is of Christ" (Col 2:17).

For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

I have been studying this for a good while now and everything makes since to me concerning the law except things are a little foggy for me when it comes to animal sacrifices and circumcision. Even 119s video on circumcision just kind of confused me even more. Maybe I misunderstood something or missed something but I never really understood what their position on it is. So if there is anyone reading this that can give me some direction or thoughts on this I would greatly appreciate it. Odd place to seek help I know but I dont really have anyone to talk with about this.

My personal opinion is that God commanded his people to do this, we don't know why other than it's a sign and sets one apart from the rest of the world, for we are to be different, set apart, living different than the world. So I will be circumcising my sons. However it is NOT a requirement for salvation. Let nobody tell you it's required to be saved. Only through Jesus are you saved.

      Colossians 2:10-14 (KJV)
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
      13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
      14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
No need for circumcision. We are circumcised in the heart.
      Romans 2:25-29 (KJV)
25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.
26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
      Hope this helps

I am a bit confused. Not growing up learning the Torah or knowing any person or Church in my area that does, I would not begin to know how to live by Torah law. Even if in my older years if I memorized the Torah in my heart and mind, I am still a sinner no matter how hard I may try not to be. As Paul would say. Oh the wretch that I am. Also if I live by the law then what is the point that is being made in Galatians 2:15-21 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, 16Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. 18For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

If paul teaches men not to be circumcised and not to question foods, wich are against the law of moses, why do you teach ppl to return the the law they are freed from? Paul gave warnings not to leave grace and return to the law. Why? I see none of these scriptures addressed in this presentation. The 10 commandments are God's eternal laws because they are the basis of loving God, and eachother according to Gods definition of love. The law of moses are just traditions of men governing the flesh, we who are born again, are no longer under the laws of flesh as we live according to the spirit and heavenly things wich are greater and higher. Paul said to put to death the deeds of the flesh and walk in the spirit. Circumcision is nothing, and meets are nothing. But loving God and One another is the fulfilling of the law. The law of christ. I pray for understanding for all of you who love yeshua and encourage you to look deeper into this. God bless...

    • @andrewmaltby368
      @andrewmaltby368 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@THE BHSC paul said we are dead to the law, only the law of christ has power over us. Love God with all that we are and our neighbor as ourselves. If we do this we will follow the ten commandments because love doesn't allow for the breaking of them. Love is the fulfilling of the law. The law of moses was a shadow of things to come. It was for the jews not gentiles and even the jews who accept christ are freed from punishment for not doing them. Paul further said if we return to the law for redemption we are no longer in the faith but fallen from grace. If we teach ppl they are expected to follow moses laws, we entangle them in a snare. Paul addressed this with peter, saying if you who are jews live as the gentiles why do you tell gentiles to live as the jews? I'm sorry brother but if you are teaching ppl to obey moses I strongly disagree. Do you stone your childeren or stone woman for adultery? It's part of the law. The bible sais if you break one law you are guilty of all. That's why yeshua was nailed to the tree. To pay the debt once and for all for everyone who lives by the spirit and puts to death the deeds of the flesh. If we walk in the faith of christ and obey his commandments we are freed from the power of the law. And those who do not accept christ are still under the law and condemned for breaking it. For all have sinned, (broke the law) and no one but christ is able to erase sin and apply righteousness. If we are under law, christ is dead in vain and we are all guilty and condemned. ,

      Very well said @andrew maltby.
People, you may as well just remove the epistles from the Bible and make your own canon if you don't agree with being freed from the law of sin and death. The Law was performance/works based. You earned your blessing or curse. Do you really want to go back to that?
Yahshua lives in you! You are in the fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant now!

So Hebrews cannot be saying the law is changed because Jesus said in Matthew 5 that He didn't come to abolish the law.
Couldn't I just say Jesus didn't say that He wasn't going to abolish the law because Hebrews says the law was changed.
This is not how to interpret Scriptures we can't choose verses that we perceive support our perspective, then have those verses overrule other verses.
No, we must deal with each passage in context, then harmonize the various conclusions.
Matthew 5 Jesus taught that His teaching is not anti-Torah, but is the fulfillment of the prophetic message of Torah & prophets. So, his sayings must be obeyed diligently. Because as Matthew 7 states we will be judged by His teaching. A teaching that on some points like divorce or swearing voided out passages in the Torah. & In other cases made teachings of law unnecessary for those who follow him. Since a Christian loves his enemy & doesn't lust, commands about murder & adultery are useless. As Paul said in Timothy, the law is for the unrighteous, not those who are walking in the Spirit.
This video, & this movement, deals very naively with Scripture. Beware.

Many good points and arguments, but I would add to the arguement Heb. 10:14 & 22. Being made perfect, as we are being sanctified. Goes back to being sealed by the Holy Spirit. That work could not be done by an earthly Priest. And so long as there is no place to offer a reparation offering without the Temple, we can lean on grace and faith that Messiah is our Adcocate in the Heavens Court, to keep us Clean, and therefore bless us to have a Clear conscience. Though repentance is a must! Bless You David!

Who were they referring to in this letter? And does it apply today to our pastors ?

Since Scripture declares that we who believe are the temple of God, does the earthly Levitical law continue to apply, as it is now written on our hearts, in our day to day walk?
If so, it cannot be set aside as it is written in the hearts of those who now are declared to be the temple and dwelling of God.
It's confusing, but I'm trying to figure this all out instead of merely dismissing it.

Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.

Heaven and earth passing away was an idiomatic expression in Hebrew of judgement days, or days of the Lord. It never meant the literal ending of the space time continuum or entire universe.
Just read Micah 1 or Isaiah 34 to see the Hebraic, apocalyptic language. If we took it all literally, mountains would literally melt like wax and nations would burn forever and ever.

You can't circumcise into a broken covenant that's why nothing was said about the children of Yisrael not being circumcised for 40 years in the wilderness but they still kept pass over Joshua circumcised the men of war when they were in their 20s and older before they crossed the Jordan and not one rebuke from Moshe or the elders remember the law was given because they broke the blood ratified covenant Exodus 24:8
Paul said you can't add to a blood ratified covenant in Galatians which would mean you can only break it, then you would need a prosthesis to appease Yahua with the blood of clean animals until He would come to pay the death penalty of Gen 15:17

Matthew 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor [Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:39] and hate your enemy [Deuteronomy 23:3-6; Judges 3:28].’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies [John 13:34; John 15:12; Hebrews 7-8; Jeremiah 31:31-34], bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."
Hebrews 7:11 Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law [Matthew 5:17-20,43; Matthew 22:39]), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek [Psalm 110:4], and not be called according to the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law [Matthew 5:44; John 13:34; John 15:12]. 13 For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated [served] at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
Luke 5:36 Then He spoke a parable [Psalm 78:2; Ezekiel 17:2] to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one [Deuteronomy 4:2; Deuteronomy 12:32; Proverbs 30:6]; otherwise the new makes a tear [Matthew 27:50-51; Mark 15:37-38; Luke 23:45-46], and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old [Matthew 5:31,43]. 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins [2 Corinthians 3:14-15; Hebrews 8:13]; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 But new wine [Matthew 5:32,44] must be put into new wineskins [Jeremiah 31:31-34; Hebrews 8], and both are preserved. 39 And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old [2 Corinthians 3:14-15; Hebrews 8:13] is good [Romans 7:12; 1 Timothy 1:8].’ ”

You must know, Your interpretation is wrong. The old system of priest and their sacrificial laws only aim to the real and Perfect Tabernacle and Sacrifice in the Persona Of Lamb Of God Y'shua, and yes a new set of laws was introduce... but not the exclusion of the shabbat and the Ten Commandments. Remember we do not needs two different priesthood or new sacrificial system & The Feast of the LORD, and a memorial in Typology. Shalom.

"We are not under the law" (Rom. 6:14; Gal. 5:18).
We are dead to the law (Rom. 7:4).
We are delivered from the law (Rom. 7:6).
Christ is the end of the law (Rom. 10:4).
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ .... we are no longer under a schoolmaster" (Gal. 3:24, 25). Interesting that Adventist's are forced to say that the term "the law in Romans means the 10 commandments, but in Galatians the exact same phrase, "the law" refers to the Ceremonial law.
"The law" has been abolished (Eph. 2:15).

God be praised!! Yes we are not under that Law anymore. If we were then we would have been stoned to death depending on what transgression we have made. We have been freed. But we have been freed from it NOT SO WE CAN BREAK IT AGAIN. Christ took the curse of the Law and bore it upon Himself. So now when you sin (break God's law) you are no longer punished for it because God took it upon Himself. I hope this gives light to you :)

@Desire Of All Nations the law has no bearing on the saved. Nor the gentiles, it never did. You twist all of paul scripture, to your own ends. We are dead to the law, alive in christ. The law brought knowledge of sin and punished it (most of it) with death, the law of sin and death. In fact paul tell us it made sin enlarge.
Christ paid that penalty once and for all. Like a diamond that last, the law does as well, but we are set free from that law and embrace the law of the spirit. After Christ the purpose of the law was completed.
One thing all HRM doesnt seem to get is that Jesus cannot administrate the mosaic law. He from a different priesthood.
Believing the torah is still in effect even for just israel is to completly misunderstand the new testament and the purpose of the mosaic law. You cant pick one law and disreguard another its all 613 or you fail. The fact that the temple was destroyed in 70ad is proof it is no loger in effect.
Almost everywhere you see "forever", its base meaning and context is "for a long time". The dead cant practice law, so its not forever. The law and the prophets was until John.
Every concept that HRM teaches is corrupt, invalid, and out of context. Teachers of the law who dont understand the law.
If there is no consequence (death, etc...) there is no law. Christ eliminated our penalty, thus no law.

Many people call their church pastor by his title, "Pastor", but that is not his name. Most Christians believe Moses’ father-in-law’s name was Jethro. Jethro was his title, the office he held. His name was Reuel. The author of Hebrews did not know that Melchizedek was not a name, but a title. Melchizedek was Shem. Shem was the last to hold the office of king and priest of the Godly lineage, the Hebrews, in one title … Melchizedek. Shem outlived Abraham. Isaac and Jacob both lived with and were taught God’s Torah by Shem. The title of Melchizedek would have passed to Reuben had it not been for Reuben's sin with his father’s concubine. With Reuben, the office of Melchizedek was divided between Levi and Judah. At the Jordan River, John the Baptist (Levi) restored the priesthood to Jesus (Judah) and the office of Melchizedek was restored to the one man, Jesus Christ our Savior.
The author of Hebrews has multiple mistakes in his writing. Hebrews 9:4, the golden altar of incense is not in the Holy of Holies. Hebrews 9:16, a covenant and a will/testament/dispensation are not the same thing. God always works in covenant(s). Hebrews 9:19, Moses did not take the blood of calves and goats, he took the blood of bullocks. Moses did not mix the blood with water, scarlet wool and hyssop. This combination of ingredients does not appear anywhere in the rest of the Bible. And Moses did not sprinkle the book with the blood, half of the collected blood he poured on the altar, the other half he sprinkled on the people. Hebrews 9:21, the tabernacle and all the utensils used in worship were not sprinkled with the blood (they didn't even exist yet), they were sprinkled with the oil of anointing. But, when Pricilla and Aquila heard the author of Henrews teach his new testament, replacement theology, they took him aside and explained the Way of God (Theos) more accurately. They taught him about covenant.

Correct John. Here it is referring to the Sacrificial Laws (Yeshua is the eternal Lamb of God, the Priesthood (Aaron), Yeshua is now our High Priest, the Levitical Priest, we are now the Royal Priesthood ( who obey the Commandments). The Temple, we are the "living stones of the Temple being built up by God, with Yeshua who is the Cornerstone. Read the parable of the wise and foolish man. The Old Testament of the "Foundation, (the ROCK) Yeshua the Cornerstone of the New Testament, being built in the foundation of the Old Testament as God Temple. Those who do not "build on the Rock (OT) and only on the sand (NT) when the storm comes the house shall fall". If you look at the Transfiguration of Yeshua, it confirms this as well.

Hi John. The word "obsolete" is incorrect. The the Greek word used here has been mistranslated. The Greek word used here is "metatithemi" # "metaatgesis" which means "transfer". The " whole of the "sacrificial services", the " priesthood" (+ High Priest) the "menorah", (light), the " incense" (prayers) etc ., were ALL transferred to Yeshua and ALL those who follow him. These physical things became "spiritual". As I put in my previous message to you. It is not "obsolete" just transferred to a better one that truly brings is not physical only but spiritual. Bless you.

Not only does the Torah not restrict Yahshua from being a priest, the settlement of priesthood on Aaron's sons was an outcrop of Israel's golden calf incident where only Levi refused to participate. Before that event, priests would have been selected from all twelve tribes, as the entire nation was ordained to be a 'kingdom of priests'. Yahshua, a Judahite through his mother, was the Son of Elohim, whose Fatherhood overrode the curse line of Mary's flawed Judahite lineage. So, the judgment against priesthood for Judah did not apply to Yahshua.

HRM really shows the lack of spiritual insight into this passage...
Think not that I am come ... - Our Saviour was just entering on his work. It was important for him to state what he came to do. By his setting up to be a teacher in opposition to the scribes and Pharisees, some might charge him with an intention to destroy their law, and to abolish the customs of the nation. He therefore told them that he did not come for that end, but really to fulfill or accomplish what was in the law and the prophets.
To destroy - To abrogate; to deny their divine authority; to set people free from the obligation to obey them. "The law." The five books of Moses called the law.
The Prophets - The books which the prophets wrote. These two divisions here seem to comprehend the Old Testament, and Jesus says that he came not to do away or destroy the authority of the Old Testament.
But to fulfil - To complete the design; to fill up what was predicted; to accomplish what was intended in them. The word "fulfill" also means sometimes "to teach" or "to inculcate," Colossians 1:25. The law of Moses contained many sacrifices and rites which were designed to shadow forth the Messiah. See the notes at Hebrews 9. These were fulfilled when he came and offered himself a sacrifice to God,
      "A sacrifice of nobler name.
      And richer blood than they."
The prophets contained many predictions respecting his coming and death. These were all to be fulfilled and fully accomplished by his life and his sufferings.

But was Yeshua not in the line of Aaron through His mother being a cousin of Elizabeth who was one of the daughters of Aaron? That would qualify Him then, wouldn't it?

You stop and only quote Hebrews 8:4,
“... Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are already priests who offer gifts according to the law...”
Keep going with the whole context:
“...Now, however, Jesus has received a much more excellent ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is better and is founded on better promises. For if that first covenant had been without fault, no place would have been sought for a second. But God found fault with the people.... By speaking of a new covenant, He has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear...”
    Hebrews 8:6-13
When you don’t have context all you have is pretext to whatever you want the scriptures to say.

21:29 The law (not the priesthood) is only weak and useless in accomplishing what it was never intended to accomplish. That is right. Things like justification, sanctification, and future glorification come to mind. The law does not accomplish any of these because it was never supposed to.

We are not under the law. The law doesn’t condemn us as Christians but is better for us if we do it as close as possible.

I don't understand why or what the importance is of having animal sacrifices again after yahshua comes back?

  • @lawrencewillard6370
    @lawrencewillard6370 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

At 9 53, you say that there is to be a temple, high priest, animal sacrifices. Quoting Zechariah, etc. This is incorrect, as Joshua, the high priest is resurrected, made spiritual, 'the last will be first'. So, no physical high priest. The temple that is soon to be built, is the jews temple. NOTof GOD. Animal sacrifice was finished when JESUS shed HIS BLOOD as a perpetual , ONCE, for ever, sacrifice. No animal blood again as a sacrifice. What more do you get wrong?.

    Psalm 119:160
All your words are true; all your righteous laws ARE ETERNAL.
    VERSES
Romans 6:14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
LETS SEE WHO'S WORD CARRIES MORE WEIGHT YHVH OR PAUL?
FOREIGNERS OR STRANGERS WHICH ARE NON HEBREWS ARE INCLUDED IN THE LAW OF YHVH
    Leviticus 19:34
‘THE STRANGER WHO RESIDES WITH YOU SHALL BE AS THE NATIVE AMONG YOU, and YOU SHALL LOVE HIM AS YOURSELF, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am YHVH your Elohim.
    Exodus 12:49
“THE SAME LAW SHALL APPLY TO THE NATIVE AS TO THE STRANGER who sojourns among you."
    Leviticus 24:22
'There shall be ONE STANDARD FOR YOU; IT SHALL BE FOR THE STRANGER AS WELL AS THE NATIVE, for I am YHVH your YHVH.'"
    Numbers 9:14
‘If AN ALIEN SOJOURNS AMONG YOU AND OBSERVES THE PASSOVER TO YHVH, ACCORDING TO THE STATUTE OF THE PASSOVER AND ACCORDING TO ITS ORDINANCE, SO HE SHALL DO, YOU SHALL HAVE ONE STATUTE, BOTH FOR THE ALIEN AND FOR THE NATIVE OF THE LAND.
LETS LOOK AT THE END WHY IS YHVH DESTROYING THE WORLD IN THE END ?
    Isaiah Chapter 24
BEHOLD, YHVH is ABOUT TO LAY WASTE THE WORLD, and will MAKE IT DESOLATE , and will lay bare the surface of it, and scatter them that dwell therein. And the people shall be as the priest, and the servant as the master, and the maid as the mistress; the buyer shall be as the seller, the lender as the borrower, and the debtor as his creditor. The earth shall be completely laid waste, and the earth shall be utterly spoiled: for the mouth of YHVH has spoken these things. The earth mourns, and the world is ruined, the lofty ones of the earth are mourning. And SHE HAS SINNED by reason of her inhabitants; because THEY HAVE TRANSGRESSED THE LAW, and CHANGED THE ORDINANCES, even the EVERLASTING COVENANT. 6 THEREFORE a CURSE shall CONSUME THE EARTH, because the inhabitants thereof HAVE SINNED: therefore the dwellers in the earth shall be poor, and few men shall be left. The wine shall mourn, the vine shall mourn, all the merry-hearted shall sigh. The mirth of timbrels has ceased, the sound of the harp has ceased. They are ashamed, they have not drunk wine; strong drink has become bitter to them that drink [it]. All the city has become desolate: one shall shut his house so that none shall enter. There is a howling for the wine everywhere; all the mirth of the land has ceased, all the mirth of the land has departed. And cities shall be left desolate, and houses being left shall fall to ruin. All this shall be in the land in the midst of the nations, as if one should strip an olive tree, so shall they strip them; but when the vintage is done, these shall cry aloud; and they that are left on the land shall rejoice together in the glory of YHVH: the water of the sea shall be troubled. Therefore shall the glory of YHVH be in the isles of the sea; the name of YHVH shall be glorious. O YHVH Elohim of Israel, from the ends of the earth we have heard wonderful things, [and there is] hope to the godly: but they shall say, WOE TO THE DESPISERS , THAT DESPISE THE LAW. Fear, and a pit, and a snare, are upon you that dwell on the earth. And it shall come to pass, [that] he that flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that comes up out of the pit shall be caught by the snare: for windows have been opened in heaven, and the foundations of the earth shall be shaken, the earth shall be utterly confounded, and the earth shall be completely perplexed. It reels as a drunkard and one oppressed with wine, and the earth shall be shaken as a storehouse of fruits; for iniquity has prevailed upon it, and it shall fall, and shall not be able to rise. And Elohim shall bring [his] hand upon the host of heaven, and upon the kings of the earth. And they shall gather the multitude thereof into prisons, and they shall shut them into a strong hold: after many generations they shall be visited. And the brick shall decay, and the wall shall fall; for YHVH shall reign from out of Sion, and out of Jerusalem, and shall be glorified before [his] elders.

@Alive unto Christ Ezekiel 44:9 FUTURE PROPHECY !
      Thus saith YHVH ELOHIM;
NO STRANGER, UNCIRCUMCISED IN HEART, NOR UNCIRCUMCISED IN FLESH, SHALL ENTER MY SANCTUARY, OF ANY STRANGER THAT IS AMONG THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.
Genesis 17:13 both he who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money, shall surely be circumcised. So shall my covenant be in your flesh an EVERLASTING COVENANT.
Exodus 12:48 If a STRANGER shall sojourn with you and would keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised.
      Galatians 5:2 2
Look: I, Paul, say to you that IF YOU ACCEPT CIRCUMCISION CHRIST WILL BE OF NO ADVANTAGE TO YOU
      Galatians 6:15
FOR NEITHER CIRCUMCISION COUNTS FOR ANYTHING, NOR UNCIRCUMCISION, BUT A NEW CREATION.
      Titus 1:10
For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers, especially THOSE OF THE CIRCUMCISION PARTY.

      1 Corinthians 2:4-5
and MY message and MY preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of Elohim.
Galatians 1:12 For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Yeshua Hamashiach
2 Timothy 2:8 Remember Yeshua Hamashiach, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in MY GOSPEL
