Back when CN didn't air one show for most of the day.

True and it’s funny to think that in 2001-2002 when they had Looney Tunes for 4 hours on Saturday mornings that was considered repetitive. And I feel like that was only done in response to attaining the rights to the entire Looney Tunes library which at one point was limited when other networks had rights to stuff that CN didn’t have rights to. It may of also been in response to feeling they couldn’t win in competition wars with other Saturday morning programming at the time. There was Kids WB, Fox Kids, and ABC had a Disney Saturday morning Block. Those were all quite popular. Those who weren’t watching those could of very easily been watching Nick instead. So CN decided to just air Looney Tunes for 4 hours. Not a bad move either.

Power, super, superpowers! Power, super, superpowers! Is it wrong that my nostalgia makes me weep a little when I hear that song and see the video?

Ahhh yes, I remember those older "Looney Tunes Show" bumpers that aired on Cartoon Network before they replaced them in June 2002 with a new set that were arguably more entertaining and distinct.

If you’re talking about the newer Looney Tunes show bumpers those didn’t come until 2003.

@@ryankalata Not the ones with the giant CGI Looney Tunes statues, but the ones like nailing a sign outside Bugs's rabbit hole, the "Rabbit of Seville" set and orchestra, the stagehand bringing Bugs's women costumes into his dressing room, another stagehand disinfecting Pepe Le Pew's dressing room, another stagehand testing a painted backdrop for the Road Runner, and another stagehand sweeping with the brush from Marvin the Martian's helmet. Those all replaced the old commercial break bumpers on June 23rd, 2002 (IIRC.)

Zak Wolf I wasn’t aware that they had made any changes to the Looney Tunes bumpers in 2002 from when the block was launched in 2001. Interesting to know. I had thought the only changes made were in 2003 when they had the big CGI bumpers. But like many other things in life i had remembered something wrong.

perualonso What? The price for streaming is basically only 5 dollars a month, unless you want to be stupid and pay 40 dollars a year. $5 isn’t bad at all.

Michael G Apart from showing the original Tom & Jerry and the original Looney Tunes, those are basically the only two classic shows on the channel, apart from the old Scooby Doo TV movies that show infrequently at 1 PM every day. Now all they’re showing is newer and former 2014-2019 short lived shows that were on Cartoon Network, and also early 2000s shows like Baby Looney Tunes. Honestly, people are saying the UK version of the channel and the streaming service is better and one of the only known sources for old shows.
