My speakers are high sensitivity (98dB 2.83V@1m) but they are 4 ohm; would they be OK with Baby Darling? So I guess my question is are we worried about current draw or sensitivity?
thank you!! Such a great lecture on the Darling amp topic! Is anyone out there who can build for me / sell to me the V2 ”Pure” Version? I don't have the skills to build one myself but I do have a basic 3 tube Darling amp sitting on my work desk, so I know the sound signature and it's adorable. I am in the process of building bookshelf sized Supravox 135LB 96db broadband speakers for my Darling amp setup. Thank you!
Fantastic, you are onto a great system with the Supravox and the Darling! Anyone, can take the job for the build? I might take you up on that, but only next year (this year I'm super swamped at work). Also, shipping from Hawaii might be too expensive. : (
All of them can be used to drive all headphones from the 16R tap. For the 600R headphones the 16R tap will work but it will not be optimal. The optimal would require a 600R secondary output transformer (can be used with any of the versions), but in that case it becomes a dedicated 600R HP headphone amp, incapable of driving lower impedance headphones nor loudspeakers.
have you thought about selling it as a kit where you can have your circuit diagram and video on building, the website you can sell the bag of parts and the frame and Transformers what you wouldn't need to buy, you can just put the order to the manufacturer suppliers and just have it sent to the customer you just take a handling administrator fae. That takes a lot of hassle out of the customer hands trying to find all the parts is off putting if you are new to this game, all of this could be done automated through your website just by using bots give it 48 hours before any order is sent so any adjustment could be made
Subscribed.. Excellent👍
nice bro , really excited about it

Hi Fred, yes, that's a very good match! Just make sure your output transformer has a 4 ohms tap, and connect the speakers to that one. Cheers! janos

Might I ask which version, if any, has the best potential to drive 600 ohm and/or 25 ohm headphones via a jack or the speaker outputs?

Thanks for clearing that up, I'll be on my way forward with the build...
@@a.r.5124 Superb! ; I will make a video on using it as a headphone amp ; )
Can you build it for a client and sell it ?
Unfortunately I do not have the time for such requests this year ; (
@@realworldaudio maybe next year :D
