    Lovely views .
    Drones are incredible for filming the wonders of this world .. 👌
    I live in Newport , and take my two Romanian rescue dogs along Yaverland beach , though mostly in the Summer months , but it's great all year round .
    The far end is the best ...less people and some nice sized boulders to sit on , whilst enjoying the surroundings 😊

    Nice footage. This is Redcliff and the structure was Redcliff Battery.
    Construction of the battery began in April 1861 and was complete by September 1863 at a cost of £4,776. Due to continuing subsidence of the cliff all armament was withdrawn from the battery by 1891 when the battery was abandoned.

    I'm Island born but just an occasional visitor in my sixties now....sad to see all the recent erosion but it is nature's way I suppose. The Island was actually connected to the mainland many thousands of years ago!
