As a gemini rising i always had that intern conflict in which i thought i was dumb bc of my childish and energetic behaviour, but at the same time i was like "wait, but ím smart. and i have the capacity to learn a lot of things!". Astrology helped me a lot to find sense to those contradictions.

I relate to that last part. I felt like I wasted my own time in college a lot with meeting as many people as I could. It was easy for me to be surrounded by people who did not care about me and my values but cared about my status/ sociability. I don't think to much of the rising because its a mask the true identity I believe is more in the sun, moon and other parts of a chart, like when I got to the composite part and looked at all the squares on my moon and oppositions on my Mars I wanted to cry because it was so spot on its brought back painful memories that I had long burried.
I understand how you can see it that way and also keep in mind that your rising sign is important because the planet that rules that sign is your chart ruler so that means that planet has a strong influence over every single house in your chart. The energy of that planet plays a huge theme in your overall life
