J. C. I have never caught or seen a hog fish. Crazy looking fish. I live in Massachusetts been out fishing the race off Long Island and it’s always blues and stripers. Blue fish I tried a piece and horrible to eat!
Hogfish are not only crazy looking but they taste better than striped bass in my opinion. Ive been eating striped bass since I lived in Maryland but the hogfish are so different and cool!
I know it's been over a year...great outing btw....but I've been searching for info/ vids on the area. I've been down that way a few times, but never out into the gulf...but will soon, and i like to bring my own stuff. What size reel were you using when you caught the big shark-bitten grouper???
@@JCFishin2021 ive fished off of st.pete beach but thats all, i normally fish out of homosassa but we just got a bigger boat so we will be able to go farther offshore.
