I just have to say that this video was extremely helpful! My dark circles are just like yours, believe it or not maybe even a little worse... I randomly was searching for a video about how to cover dark circles and I chose yours because of then before and after. I saw that my dark circles were just like yours and what’s even better is you use the Becca under eye brightener! I was recently recommended that product and I’ve only been using it for about a week and it didn’t work so well until after I watched this! I applied it with a similar brush and got a better result. I think that I need to find a new moisturizer for under my eyes though because the product did not apply quite as easy as yours with the brush... it was kinda sticky and took a little more work but it still gave me better results!! So thank you for taking the time to make this video!

Hi Teresa, its all about the type of skin you have. I've used tons of different under-eye creams/serums. I encourage you to go to your local sephora and ask the reps for samples. what works for me is using two different types of under-eye cream one at night and one in the morning(important) since its the one that I use before applying my make up. Since I have combination skin, I like a heavy moisture/hydrating cream at night, and in the morning a "lighter" eye cream, since we still add either a correcting or highlight concealer or if you are like me i use both. And Sarah is right less is more under your eye. Hope this works.
Teresa Bell Yeah, she said "no creases" but then once she looked at the camera from looking up you could definitely see creases. It's natural for people to have under eye creases..

I was very impressed with your knowledge and technique. I have no makeup on in this photo. I am 64 and blessed with good skin but have always had to choose between looking tired with dark circles or looking old with product creases. I usually chose “tired”, I mean everyone has an occasional bad night right? We never want to look our age or older. I am going to try your method to cover my circles. Take it from a dermatologist you have things in your kitchen that are just as good as high-end products because high-end products don't do anything that your kitchen items don't do. You can use coconut oil you can use Crisco was the first thing I always recommended until coconut oil became widely available. You can get a prescription for lac-hydrin 12% lotion which does take the darkness away with daily use in the beginning and then twice a week to maintain it. That is the only thing that will get rid of dark areas on the skin! Lac-hydrin has also come out with a 15% but I don't recommend that for the face. MD PhD nutrition science and vegan.
Very true, however coconut oil is HIGHLY comedogenic and causes extreme acne. It’s a level 4-5 on the comedones chart. So. NO. I am also Highly allergic to topical coconut oil. Yes. I’ve tested over 20 coconut oils including fractionated.

WOW!!! THIS routine works really WELL! I have very dark circles under my eyes and THEN thanks to age, those lovely hollows in the tear trough!! I have to try what you have done ! I would LOVE my undereyes to look as good as yours!!

Geez!!! you did a great job to demo to teach me because I struggled to find the right method for concealer issue which took me 3 to 5 years!! now I got it!! LOL I hate to make my under eye look cakey! no thanks even though I don't have a wrinkle under eye without makeup. After applying makeup on under the eye, I was like huh it doesn't what I want to look like cakey! LOL THUMB UP to you thanks so much so I can practice tmw before I head to work. Hi Sarah, my new trick (and I have really bad dark circles and some under eye puffiness as well...) is to use ONLY peach tone corrector (1-2 layers) and setting powder, NO concealer at all. For me it works the best :)
I've found that works the best too,years ago I tried blue to cover it. Then forgot about it till my daughter got me some and it works better than any concealer. I don't use concealer anymore and I've got bad dark circles.

almond oil worked for me: I get a massage once a month, need it, have stepped up my workout routine and almond oil is the basis for everything else. I like it because it is light and neutral. Really good video tutorial; kudos!!!!

I see you used almond oil👍 continue the use and also remove your makeup with it you will notice the difference in lightening the skin. I used to use it to remove all my face makeup and i was getting light! Now i focus it only on the eye area. Love the Becca corrector under the shape tape. I put it under one and not the other and by the end of the day my concealer was still on with the corrector (I guess it’s kind of like a primer also). I have light skin but VERY dark purple/blue circles and the medium/dark works better for me. Orange correctors work better than peach. I can tap the light color on top of concealer for a little more brightening
Hi.. i would just like to et u know that u should use the cream first then the oil on top. As the oil will seal in the eye cream. If you put the oil on first the eye cream wont be able to penetrate properly
I've tried the Becca under eye corrector and shape tape, rcma powder as well. For me, I just feel like I can't get it right, either its not covering my circles or its looks cakey, or I get creasing. I guess I suck at it lol but I love that you make these videos and you zoom in for us to really see. I'll keep practicing :-) Love the eye shadow!
Do you wait until de concealer dries, before applying the powder? I have really dark circles and I’m always trying new combinations, but haven’t found the one for me yet 😕 The biggest problem that I have, that I hate so much, is that after I apply the powder, it looks like I’m very old, with wrinkles, it’s terrible. I use the Laura Marcier powder, but I don’t think it’s working at all 😢 Loved the video! 😘😘😘
Hi, i‘m 46 and i don‘t set my concealer with powder... i had the same prob as you the last years.... now i use a corrector (mufe hd Concealer) and the shape Tape on top...reaply over the day for touch up with my Finger and „dab“ it in... works for me 👍🏻
SpydrKat that would depend on the brush type & technique though. A damp sponge can pack on way too much powder. If anyone is interested I have a tutorial for “proper” or better layering of concealer for textured undereyes on my channel.
Hi Sarah, I believe we are the same skin color, Would you be open to few comments about? Here it goes: 1. I use the same combo becca under eye corrector + shape tape medium. I realized the medium shape tape looks great, but becomes ashy/even a little green after few hours. I tested it on my chest to make sure and after few hours it was darker than it and with a green undertone... Unbelievable. The solution was to mix it with the light medium shade of the same shape tape, they really worked well togheter, didn't get dark later and are in the same undertone. 2. This one is a constructive critic, I hope you don't mind. I think your pink background contributed to change you undertone appearence on the video for a not so flattering as another choice of color would produce. I hope I was not mean with this comment, I just believe the background color can make such a difference and make you even more pretty. Kisses for you.
Hi Sara! Could u recommend any concealer that will not oxidize. I noticed that whatever concealer I used ( Nars , Tarte ,Maybelline Fit me) my undereye still turns ashy after few hours even if I moisturized it and put some corrector prior the application. Its really worst 😭 and frustrates me because I get so many comments about my dark circles 😰
Becca has a new (bluish colored in the container) undereye primer at Ulta and Sephora. Are you thinking about trying that? I have it on a wish list, but am waiting for you to go first...ha!

This was so good! Can’t wait to try. I am 53 dark circles little puffiness and skin is losing elasticity so it’s so hard to find the right coverage that doesn’t seep into the lines! It does change as u age! Any tips?

I have tried so many suggestions but you are the first I found with the same type of eye area as me, hereditary, super dark with the indented tear toughs! Did you end up trying the CoverFX or found something you prefer over the RCMA?
Why is it that when I use my Becca under eye corrector with my shape tape concealer it ends up being very hard to blend and why does it leave ugly patches, that you can easily see? I ended up noticing that I had to use concealers with the same formula as “It’s bye bye under eye” in order for this not to happen. Sucks cause I rather use tartes shape tape because it’s favorite concealer 😭😂😢 sucks that I can’t use it with my favorite under eye corrector...

They will have natural creases yes, but what people get concerned about is the product on top creasing and moving around

Joann Salas have you tried to layer the concealer instead of applying it in one go?
I haven't tried to apply it in layers, is that what you mean? I usually just do one layer of the concealer.

Use a brush instead and a light amount of powder. Your drying out the area too much.

Maybe Ur Setting Powder Is Too Drying. Try Using The RCMA Setting Powder :)

I use LA girl pro concealer HD. It is the best concealer I have ever used. They come with a lot of shades too. I would suggest you to try it dear

This was so good! Can’t wait to try. I am 53 dark circles little puffiness and skin is losing elasticity so it’s so hard to find the right coverage that doesn’t seep into the lines! It does change as u age! Any tips?

How long, your best guess, did you wait for concealer to set? Have you tried Laura Mercier brightening powder? I have it just afraid to use it, I have fine lines.

I use a an under eye moisturizer that contains Hyaluronic acid. Unfortunately, there are very few concealers that also contain Hyaluronic acid.

I have tried so many suggestions but you are the first I found with the same type of eye area as me, hereditary, super dark with the indented tear toughs! Did you end up trying the CoverFX or found something you prefer over the RCMA?
Have u tried the Shiseido sponge to apply / blend concealer? It doesn’t absorb product like the BBBlender or RT sponge. Thank u!
Why is it that when I use my Becca under eye corrector with my shape tape concealer it ends up being very hard to blend and why does it leave ugly patches, that you can easily see? I ended up noticing that I had to use concealers with the same formula as “It’s bye bye under eye” in order for this not to happen. Sucks cause I rather use tartes shape tape because it’s favorite concealer 😭😂😢 sucks that I can’t use it with my favorite under eye corrector...
