This is one of the most interesting and best discoveries of Eduard's waltzes. All waltz sections are full of inspiration and well contrasted with each other, typically of the masterpieces composed by all Strausses. With such music, Eduard certainly represents the "The Strauss company" at its best. Thank you for sharing this amazing rarity!
One of the best of Edi's waltzes. I first heard this on David Jacobs Melodies for You back in the early 1980s. I wish we could get radio shows like that today
After all, it looks that Johann Strauss I equally gave his musical talents to all of his sons. This is the first time for me to listen to this beautiful waltz. It is just admirable, adorable, and amazing. Thanks a lot for posting this clip.
This is just delightful! There's a zest and piquancy in the interpretation of this waltz that I found lacking in the more recent volume of the Marco Polo survey.
The problem is that many lovers of this kind of music started to record radio-broadcasts in the 1950s to reel-tapes - I have even heard a few tales on some people recording from radio on steel-wire tapes and even some kind of discs as early as in the 1940s and 1930s, but I have heard no first hand accounts of it. The thing is that 99% of those private recordings from radio has been copied many many times since then since some lucky soul captured it, but only occasionally noted orchestra and conductor. A very few recordings I have came across have preserved the radio-announcers, but that is very very rare. Those reel-tapes not yet transferred to other media are in many cases now beyond rescue - and there are many still floating around with old music lovers.
@@danielvillada6656Sound reminded me of old WJSO recordings but I couldn't find any album with this work. Do you know what other pieces were included on it?

why no info???? great waltz!!!!
Its one of Edi's best waltzes for sure, I found the recording without any information about conductor, orchestra or album.

This is a recording from an old LP with the Wiener Johann Strauss Orchester and Walter Goldschmidt.
