I am a little late to the party as your podcast just showed up in my TH-cam recommendations yesterday. I had to laugh at the gauge conversation regarding the Yume. I an just about to finish the sleeve ribbing for my long sleeved DK version. I don't swatch top down sweaters as I try them on repeatedly while I knit. It allows me to easily make adjustments as needed.
I have really enjoyed your handspun in your knitting. It really adds something special to those projects.

Love your top Kirsty. I’ve never worn a crop but maybe I’ll give it a try. And you’ve made, yes made me want to make a ghost whisperer. It’ll be lovely for my hols. Love the granny square blanket. I’ve always got a crochet blanket on the go. I’m currently doing 2 to use up all my scraps. A pastel one in Attic 24 Neat Ripple Pattern & a dark one in a granny square stripe.

Tracy the top turned out wonderfully! The looser fit is very in lately. You never know what you will get if you don't swatch so I wasn't sure if this episode would have a story about gauge drama or not. Hahaha! Meanwhile I am the person that cautiously makes a swatch for my next tee in a couple of needle sizes.

Clover is my favorite crochet hook, too! In addition to liking the handle, I find that the actual hook part doesn’t have the sharp point that sometimes makes it difficult to easily get through stitches - especially those with more loops 🧶

Really enjoyed today's episode! Made me want to get my crochet hooks out again! Tracy, it's so good that you have lots of colours of the same yarn that you can make blankets from. It seems like my scraps are all different weights/ fibres 😣 I'm currently knitting a shawl for my Nan called Austrian Spring (free Drops pattern) out of Stylecraft Bambino in the colourway All at Sea. I don't wear shawls, so it's unusual for me to be making one, but I have to say, I'm enjoying making it SO much! I have lots of babies to knit for soon - maybe I can knit a square shawl and give it as a baby blanket? Thanks for keeping me company as I knit :)
