i definitely agree about the artstyle, temmie is a great animator/artist and an entire show in her vision would be so cool! i'm glad you said that it would be a bad idea for the genocide route to be adapted, a lot of neutral routes and the pacifist route are very realistic for a normal human child to do, but there's pretty much no reason that a real person not playing a game would do the geno route. it also just probably wouldn't be very entertaining! unless they wanted it to be super boring (and accurate), they'd have to cut most of it and skip straight to the important dialogue and battles. good video!

Personally I think that it'd be a waste to do ANY route in the series! Even with those fillers(which are gonna be 40% of the whole series at best). People are gonna already know EVRY plot twist, basically the whole maine journey and most importantly T H E E N D I N G. To be honest this is the base for every series and the whole reason why people are watching them. I don't think that undertale is gonna have a second chance if it fails and even if it's gonna be a success then there is nothing else to show(just like in the game pacifist route). So I think they should do something like cuphead did. Btw great video! Never seen someone doing a whole video about that topic 👍

There's been so many adaptations and animations. Personally love RE: Incarnation. Seeing a whole show like that would be A DREAM. My fear is that it would be animated in the style of Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, etc. Simple and frankly lazy. It's default and boring since all the cartoons look the same now. And then the fear of the addition of pop culture music, ex. Mario Movie: while they could have used a remade version of the classic DK theme, they opted for Take on Me instead. All in all, I think Undertale would do well with both a story cartoon AND a slice of life kind of cartoon.
i mean i appreciate the thought but if you think all cartoons look the same nowadays you'd be wrong lol (the owl house, amphibia, x-men, spider-man, superman, and batman all have something to say about that) and i don't think even SU and gravity falls look very similar either while i wouldn't call their art styles bland or boring, i think they're simple in a good way, (though gravity falls' pilot looks better than what we got in terms of art style) i do agree that the show shouldn't look like either of those that being said, the slice of life mixed with story thing? thats exactly what i was going for! i'd love it if it was like that
Shoulda chose my words differently lol, not all cartoons look the same. There's a specific feeling that it gives off. Some cartoons now have a similar vibe in the way the art is portrayed. For me, it feels basic and repetitive. What I'm saying is with the styles I'm talking about the extra goofy looking. Rounded mouths (the "sans mouth"), skinny arms, rounded teeth, crazy oversized heads, etc. Take Anime for example, they're all different looking to an extent but there's a consistent feeling/look throughout the different series that makes them feel similar Id want to see something unique, Spider-Man, The Batman, The Justice League, He-Man (OG and Revelation), Castlevania, Delicious in Dungeon-- they have styles that are all detailed enough that they stand out, but aren't super complex. All in all I would want the show be true to the actual art of Undertale. Which is why, as you said, Temmie would be a FANTASTIC lead artist for a show because she illustrated Undertale itself.

@@fours1524 100% im talking about 2004 The Batman. I cannot tell you how the theme song goes HARD and how the end, the drawn out raspy "The Batman", comes up in my head at random moments. One of my favorite Batman cartoons to date. Art styles gotta be silly if it's Undertale. Just not.. too silly. You see those characters?? Eye catching and detail is what I need when it comes to that game. I adore it so much. People I met through it, the creativity of it all. And then Deltarune?? It's all wonderful and wonderfully done. Though, I do know the Undertale community is low-key gatekeep-y about the game and it's story. So that would be a fun thing to watch from a very far distance
