    I think the area you stayed is around chow kit/masjid India area which is not little India. That area has lots of foreigners particularly from neighbouring countries Indonesia/Myanmar/Bangladesh who are trading there hence the cleanliness issue is questionable.

    Just for knowledge not all homeless are locals. There are others who are undocumented people.

      Yeah, most of the homeless are undocumented foreigners without jobs or permits, and dont have the money to go back to their home country, post pandemic.

    Malaysia have a big problem with authority , Bangladesh people ,pakistan people and others foreigners in Kuala Lumpur make local authority as their source to give "undertable" money to make their business keep going even without legal document. This topic is very very sensitive to discuss. But as a Malaysian it should be ..because it is about our beautiful country matter.

    Theres a reason behind why there are flags shown all around the city, especially on the month august. on every 31st August of the year, malaysians celebrate our Independence Day. which is really a great day for foriegners too. in the heart of the city at the merdeka square where the gigantic flag pole is, there will have the national day parades. you get to see the contigence of police, the army, the navy and the airforce do show off their assets in that parade. realy interesting to see tanks, armoured vehicles, firebrigades, police cars etc etc on the road. and off course there will be flybys by jet fighters too. it will be heavily crowded, loud but a very memorable exerience to see the parades that day. and a thing to note about why that very long tower horn at the top of the merdeka tower, they designed to look like our first prime minister TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN PUTRA AL HAJ. He was the one that helped us get our independence from british rule. he raised his hand up high and shouted "MERDEKA !! " for 7 times. merdeka means indeendence. it was such a historic event as great as wiliam wallace freedom chant. so that tower is buiilt such a way to signify that historic moment. thus why that long horn, its tunkus one hand raised up.

      @@Ashleysplanet The "skinny pole" on the building you'd mentioned, is actually a tower on top of a tower. People can get into there (by stairs of course) up until the top. There are observation points along the way. So, it's not cheating actually to make the total heights of PNB118 to be exactly 678.9 meters tall. It's brilliant!

    • @qleophathyr
      @qleophathyr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ashleysplanet: It's a waste of money. Without billion ringgit projects they won't get their undertable money. We all know the true costs of those towers are way less than what's on paper.

  • @eddy671
    @eddy671 ปีที่แล้ว

    You are honest and open about what you see. Regarding the PNB118 building that has an additional tower, it is not what you think but this building is indeed recognized as the second tallest building in the world. Regardless, Kuala Lumpur is still proud to have the tallest twin buildings in the world.
    Hope you are happy while you are in Malaysia.
