This is a great exercise that I have never done before, not even on piano! Here, G-major scale is being played - but beginning with the fifth note - the D note. I'm even going to apply this exercise to my piano playing, as I didn't think of it that way before, and this adds dimension to my music learning. Thanks again and best regards!
