so many recovery channels talk about various forms of exercise, whether it be running, weightlifting, pilates, cycling, etc "saving their life" which is perfectly valid and may be true for some people, but overall does not apply to everyone in recovery and can be harmful. i found the best way for me to recover was to take the focus off my body, doing things like journaling, writing, painting, meditating, reading etc. i totally agree with you about stopping exercise in recovery. your body and brain need a break.
I agree so much about the fitness recovery accounts. I feel like there is so much pressure to recover and return to exercise immediately. I see accounts where they are still tracking macros and obsessed about their bodies just in a different way. Thank you so much for this video
Thank you so much for sharing your story, your encouragement and positivity is really contagious! I have been struggling with an eating disorder and exercise addiction for the past year and a half and your videos are slowly convincing me to seriously start recovery. I was having my lunch while watching this: chickpea farinata, cooked tomatoes, slice of bread and some leftover pasta. Incredibly random I know...but some days are just like this hahah

I can so relate to the walking.. I am the same when it comes to my weight being deemed ‘healthy’ quite quickly and exercise became ‘ok’ ..well on paper it did. It took over my life and still does. I’m only a year into recovery and I’m very much still I’m the process of healing the relationship. can’t tell you how much I relate to the excessive walking it’s madddd… I’m 29 and I’m desperate to heal my relationship to exercise asap as I love love love moving my body… your gorgeous and have a big full life ahead of you!! Keep grinding and posting. Your inspiring others ❤️x

as a typical asian my lunch today will be white rice with spicy chicken dish and veges. diff protein everyday with diff cooking style (could be chinese/indian/malay) but the white rice and veges is a must 😂
Hi rapunzel I’m currently struggling with exercise addiction. And my family decided to enroll me into a Ed hospital program( not impatient but it’s just a program to see if I need to go impatient in a hospital and really start recovering from my ED ) and my family has been talking about it and we both want me not go start the program they are saying to me that if I just gain some weight I might not have to go/start.. and I really don’t want to go to the hospital 😅 so naturally I need to EAT right.. but I’m just struggling to find food to eat. Not because it scaring but just because I think I restricted a lot of food for so long and then made me just struggle and feel panicky when I need to eat meals.. Wow that’s a lot of reading for you 😂😂 sorry PS: if you have some tips for me if you understood any of what I wrote it would be really helpful ❤❤❤
