The Great Buddha Statue|Bodh Gaya|80 അടി ഉയരമുള്ള ശ്രീബുദ്ധൻ😍

The Great Buddha Statue is one of the famous Buddhist pilgrimage place and tourist spot in Bodh Gaya. Budha statue is seen in a meditation pose or dhyana mudra, on a lotus. It is an awe-inspiring sight, standing a height of 80 feet. 😍 It is believed to be one of the largest statues in India. The foundation was laid in 1982 and was inaugrated on 18 th Novermber 1989 by XIV Dalai Lama. It is constructed using intricately carved sandstone and red granite. About 1,20,000 masons 👷🏽‍♂️ were involved in its construction. It is a sight to behold and is just about 1.5 kms from the Mahabodhi Temple.🛺
⌛️Working Time: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. & 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Working on all days)
🎟️No Entry Ticket
Note: Avoid summer or afternoon time for visit (as you have to walk bare feet)🥵
You can also visit various Buddhist monastries which are nearby.🏯
You can do shopping outside this place.🛍️ (Don’t foget to bargain🙃)
Surrounded by 10 smaller sculptures of Buddha’s disciples, the peaceful ambience and the beauty of the statue attract thousands of tourists every year from all around the world.🗺️
