I have noticed alot of nostalgic references in the BTS recent songs that look back into golden eras of music. With heavy influences from late 70s/ 80s/90s to 2000s.
This is a near perfect pop/rock album...Another Level.... man he should have released that as a single - would have blown BB charts to pieces. Jin is the smoking gun of BTS where vocals are concerned - he just opens his mouth and voila.
You were talking about how wonderful that they left the flaws in I Will Come to You--to me, it was keeping in the sound of the inhalations. That then made the following line sound like a sigh or cry, and made it so much more emotional. So this was my favorite song, closely followed by Another Level.

You should have seen fancams of live performances because unlike weverse version he actually didn't have backtrack. And he Jin sounds very clean on fancams 🥺

I saw fancams of Another level where you can clearly hear the backtrack and it's not a bad thing for him to use it since he should show off how awsome he sounds in the backup vocals for his songs. If you refer to the VOLUME weverse used on his mic compared to the backtrack that's a different story. Let me know if you want the videos I've seen so you can confirm for yourself
Yey! Thank you again for reacting to Jin's Happy Album! I was late so sadly, I wasn't able to join the live huhu. But I love the knowledge and the breakdown, although I wasn't able to literally catch up everything - in terms of terminologies and music notes but still, it's fun to just watch and learn from professional people hehe. My favorite is also Another Level, when I first heard this song I got goosebumps and I screamed, and yes I'm not exaggerating but it's really one of those songs that is right up my alley hehe. So, I agree with Richard 💯💯💯 But Running Wild and I Will Come To You have a special place in my heart 💜 Jin wrote "I will come to you" when he was in the military while thinking and missing about ARMYs 🥹 Fun fact: He is credited for co-writing the lyrics of 4 out of the 6 songs. if army is the 8th member, i’d like to think the staff/band/team are their 9th bc i noticed they’ve either been with the boys from way back or they work with them in almost everything and some both! (just wanted to say since someone commented yoongi and jimin used the same band 💕)
I had an online computer programming class and realized at x1.25 speed my instructor sounded just like Richard and that made me more inclined to listen to him and absorb 😂
Wendy is a very good vocalist with a really lovely tone, she was definitely just nervous for the live (ARMY can be intimidating, but both ARMYs and Wendy's fans love this collab and greeted her warmly). She caught the pitch quickly after the beginning and finished strong! Thanks for this reaction, love hearing the analysis and the education, you guys are awesome!
She has a lovely voice that it was a shame this was a first impression for many people. But this is what a live performance is: always the chance of not being absolutely perfect.
Yeah... Wendy is a great singer, but I think she's just a bit nervous that time, singing in front of Jin's fans, make sense, because I remember that Youjeen who's already a veteran singer with over 20years of career got nervous performing with RM in his special live stage. It's not their usual environment, so it's nerve wrecking.

Can’t believe I missed the stream again, but I am so glad you guys heard and reacted to the entire album! Thank you!! My favs are Another Level and I Will Come To You! When I listen to all of HAPPY in order, I can’t shake the feeling that it’s an intentional storytelling of a relationship that is very precious to Jin’s heart. Whether it be with ARMY, or a specific person in his life, it doesn’t matter. The fact that he has dedicated it all to ARMY is pure Kim Seokjin. Add his ability to emote authentic sentiments through various Rock sub-genres, to a vocal range that rivals many a “Rock Star”, Jin’s Happiness just shines! [P.S. As a vocalist in her mid-sixties, I was so excited to hear how Jin approached the Rock Vibes of the last 6 decades. Was not disappointed! Richard has my vote for an UNHAPPY follow-up]

Another level is also my favorite song!!! I love the entire album but another level tops them all... But about I'll come to you... That one gives me lullaby vibes and I wish my kids were still in baby stage so I could sing them to sleep with it 💗

HAPPY is my favourite album from the BTS members and Jin's my favourite voice, so it's been fun taking note on what people recognise in the styles. Thank you, Richard and Johnny💜 Live versions from concerts do not always have a good sound, so for future reactions I would recommend performances from TV talk shows and interviews when they are available. In Jin's case, he did several. It's a shame you weren't given links to those, because they are really good!
They tend to get copyright strikes more which makes them hard to use for reactions, esp music show broadcasts. Our loss, sadly. (I agree with some other comments that his performances on Lee Mujin Service were just exquisite, and I think my fave performance of RW is actually Jimmy Fallon, which surprised me - he's just so *happy*, I love it.)

Another minor key lover here. 😁 BTS are an anomaly in my Korean listening since I am usually immersed in Kbands and OSTs so imagine how delighted I was to hear this album. I always wondered what he would sound like as a frontman of a band. Also, did anyone else think Another Level was the collab with ONE OK ROCK? 😅 I wish the vote had gone in favor of the Lee Mujin Service Falling live version, but that is ok. I am not pouting. 😂 I do prefer the version with Taka: the Japanese language suits this song as well as the duet fills the song better, I think.

I didn’t get to finish watching you live, but I always do enjoy your commentaries and music appreciation for BTS. I almost always love live performances more than studio versions, except for this performance with Wendy. The poor thing struggled quite a bit, and I felt bad for the whole performance. This would’ve been one case for your Organizer to give you a studio version rather than this live. I’m glad you pulled it up for yourself. Also, Johnny, as well as other reactors, keep using the term throwback. As an Army, we see all of the content that Jin put out with this album, and he is clearly, clearly going for a retro feel. Stands to reason the music would fall in line with that. He’s a clever and talented man, our Jin!
I am so glad someone said this about the Heart on the Window. I have sympathy for her nerves. But I was wondering if I were hearing a different song when this live version was being praised by so many ARMY.
Nobody pulled strings. The guys have been doing promotional content for free all around ^^U The tickets were raffled amoung buyers of the album, but all in all they are free. JK did it too. RM (Namjoon) too. Hobi (J-hope) did Lollapalooza, sure people bought tickets, but it was broadasted FOR FREE in weverse. Tae (V) went on so many shows and such to promote his album, he sang all the songs live across different platforms. Free. So whoever commented that Jin pulled strings......, it sounds really weird.
I'm so glad you ended up listening to the studio version of Heart on the Window. No hate to Wendy because i think she was probably really nervous, but her pitch was really off in the live and she sounds so lovely on the studio version.

I'm glad you finally react to Jin's Album. To be honest I'm only watching your reactions on BTS and BTS only, as a loyal Army. I am Filipino but really, I am so sick and tired of their style. For me, it suggests that the constant belting feels repetitive and exhausting rather than engaging or emotionally dynamic. I might be craving a more balanced approach with softer tones, subtle emotions, or a different vocal technique to keep the music interesting and enjoyable. That's what I felt on BTS since day 1 and I became an Army until now and perhaps forever!
The sound from livestreamed performances are pretty much always bad for some reason, so it really hurts my soul that you didn't check out the fancams from the event instead since you can actually hear his voice clearly in them(instead of being drowned out by the backtrack the entire time).
I have a request about the time stamps on your videos, would you consider setting them earlier for each song? As soon as you start talking about the next song please 🙏🏻 I want to hear all the intro before the song too! (I like rewatching reactions of my fave songs a lot haha)

I didn’t get to finish watching you live, but I always do enjoy your commentaries and music appreciation for BTS. I almost always love live performances more than studio versions, except for this performance with Wendy. The poor thing struggled quite a bit, and I felt bad for the whole performance. This would’ve been one case for your Organizer to give you a studio version rather than this live. I’m glad you pulled it up for yourself.
Also, Johnny, as well as other reactors, keep using the term throwback. As an Army, we see all of the content that Jin put out with this album, and he is clearly, clearly going for a retro feel. Stands to reason the music would fall in line with that. He’s a clever and talented man, our Jin!
I am so glad someone said this about the Heart on the Window. I have sympathy for her nerves. But I was wondering if I were hearing a different song when this live version was being praised by so many ARMY.

The tickets were raffled amoung buyers of the album, but all in all they are free.
JK did it too. RM (Namjoon) too. Hobi (J-hope) did Lollapalooza, sure people bought tickets, but it was broadasted FOR FREE in weverse.
Tae (V) went on so many shows and such to promote his album, he sang all the songs live across different platforms. Free.
So whoever commented that Jin pulled strings......, it sounds really weird.

I'm so glad you ended up listening to the studio version of Heart on the Window. No hate to Wendy because i think she was probably really nervous, but her pitch was really off in the live and she sounds so lovely on the studio version.

I'm glad you finally react to Jin's Album. To be honest I'm only watching your reactions on BTS and BTS only, as a loyal Army. I am Filipino but really, I am so sick and tired of their style. For me, it suggests that the constant belting feels repetitive and exhausting rather than engaging or emotionally dynamic. I might be craving a more balanced approach with softer tones, subtle emotions, or a different vocal technique to keep the music interesting and enjoyable. That's what I felt on BTS since day 1 and I became an Army until now and perhaps forever!

The sound from livestreamed performances are pretty much always bad for some reason,
so it really hurts my soul that you didn't check out the fancams from the event instead since you can
actually hear his voice clearly in them(instead of being drowned out by the backtrack the entire time).
Check out some Red Velvet -- Wendy is their main singer.
I have a request about the time stamps on your videos, would you consider setting them earlier for each song? As soon as you start talking about the next song please 🙏🏻 I want to hear all the intro before the song too! (I like rewatching reactions of my fave songs a lot haha)
