I think some people misunderstand a lot about bananas. In Korea, it is not necessarily interpreted in such a sexual sense. In Korea, there is another reason why bananas are given as gifts for fun. It's because the pun made with the similarity of pronunciation is famous. The sentence attached to Bana is the key. "바나나 먹으면 나한테 반하나?" =Will you fall for me if you eat bananas? 바나나 = banana 반하나? = falls in love? The pronunciation of "바나나" and "반하나?" is very similar. so in Korea, we play with words a lot with that sentence If you look at the 20 minute subtitle, it comes out exactly "lf you eat a banana, will you fall in love spotify?" It's not the kind of sexual joke you usually think of overseas.
