Fantastic video. So well put (the swearing especially!). Strength to you and all the other devs out there.

Unity was a great engine, but since last years it's just going downhill with horrible managing and dubious merging. look like they focus too much on mobile now. Hope Bulwark get succefull and you continue to make video game for a long time!

Well said brother. More power to the little people not the fat cats. I wish you nothing but the best. I hope all can work out for the best but these are people who are made rotten to the core by greed. My thoughts are with you and your family and you can count on me to buy your game for my steam deck, i was going to anyway but this makes my motive even more strong. ❤

With a per install charge, demos are dead, indie Unity game discoverability would go down.
So Unity's plan is to charge more for games to be unpromotable during a Steam's gamefest.

I was at the point in my project where I finally had a good working character motor, and a basic enemy to fight and have it be fun, and I was looking forward to ad some level design and story stuff. Now instead of finally moving forward with my project, I feel like I have to do it all again in Godot, whilst learning Godot after years of Unity. This sucks.
Voor mij was het volume prima :*

There's a scene converter for migrating from unity to godot

@@prestigemultimediagroup6436 I know, but I don't have much in the way of scenes yet. Just lots of C# code referencing Unity components.. Does that convert as well?

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's madness. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Blowing both feet clean off more like.
