Seemed like a safer option. On foxtrot, having the Unita in town and a recon squad would have done wonders, as well as having an extra (medium) tank there. 20:40 I dont think the pathfinders are spotting that much from there, perhaps having them on the other side of the town would be more helpful? They seem to be too far Delta to be useful to you. Also, buying something for that little forest in Delta would have been a good idea. You could atleast spot some of his attemps at pushing the bridges. The last little thing I'd like to point out, was that you could have used the recon and SF at his base much better. Either use them to distract him, or just try to kill some of the transports to atleast slow down his response, especially in the final minutes. At a time he is panick buying a bunch of helos the SASF would have given you a a better chance at staying in the sectors. Anyways, those were some of the little things, now regarding "bigger stuff"... The Rhino is great, if you bought it, use it! There were 2 times where you really should have. One was after spotting his jeep cv on foxtrot... You know its a jeep cv, and it didnt move too far from its original position (I don't think so anyways), and I believe it was getting hit by fire, hence the move-stop-move-stop. Your recon rooikat also spotted the inf cv on Delta, but then it switched buildings... The Rhino is good, and you had the timer ticking... Just spam it in that town block, you would have killed it eventually. And the big one... anti-air... Usually having an ASF is nice, but when you are playing against this guy whos answer to any situation is either a plane or a helicopter, having an ASF and keeping your "Crotales" with ammo is rather important. I'd say that in this specific case, having a couple supply trucks on both frontlines to keep your AAs supplied would have helped you out a lot, really. Everytime you lost a CV it was to a helicopter or a plane. Oh, and I almost forgot this one ... Base defense! Especially against a helo player, you can never be too careful. It didnt seem to be that well protected against helos. I hate to be that guy who writes a whole book about a 40 minute game, but I think you got a lot of room for improvement on this one...I know its easy to sit here and say what you could have done better, as I am not "under pressure" as you were, but I feel like the AA situation was pretty bad on this match. Buccaneer is an interesting unit. So many missiles allow you to re-roll accuracy and with increasing hits it gains veteran exp; Growing finer with age. Perhaps a mechanism for its perceived efficacy?
Indeed. When you need an 'Oh Fuck' button, helos are typically it because they're fast and have some measure of staying power unlike planes. That said, a canny player can exploit that by setting up longer-ranged SHORAD pieces, which can ambush incoming QRFs. I like to do a thing where I bring in a SHORAD and a HIMAD piece together when I do a push, so that the inevitable plane and helo QRF get shot at as soon as they pop up. While this does increase costs I find it to often be a more than worthwhile play to make.
Hey Stealth, love your work as always. That guys seems like he is a professional dick - great job in beating him. I think he was just shocked that someone didn't immediately fall to his usual cheesy helo rush. I am by no means a good or even competent player but here's a trick I learned off Razzman's videos. If you look above the unit's health bar you will see a much thinner bar that shows the unit's currently accrued XP - if any of the bars are filled up then you know that the unit has killed something. Combine that with a quick check of unit ammo loads and you can easily tell if a unit a) has been in combat (based on amount of ammo expended), b) against what target type (armored or soft depending upon type of ammo expended) and c) whether or not they have killed their target (depending upon XP level). This is a great way to check if a blind "Fire at Position" attack or artillery strike has succeeded, it can also let you know if the unit has been ambushed on the way to the front.
Shoot and shoot using tanks with high rate of fire (Leclerc comes to mind) or fast speed (T-80UM) while using cover and terrain is best I can suggest. Trade space for time and use superior tanks at range. If you're going to ask "what if you don't have space to trade for time", then I think you're screwed up way before the horde of cheap stuff gets into your face.

@@hundun5604 it's not only a matter of how many units you have (in your deck), it's also the limited 'points' you can spend at the start of the game. Those points are used to deploy new units.
