One quick thing: when you "control" a Sim not on your lot, they will arrive greyed out. You have to release control then reenable the control once they come on your lot. If they leave on their own (like go to work), you'll have to do this too, as they will grey out again. You'll still be able to control their interactions if they are greyed out and are on the lot, but you won't be able to "follow" or "focus" on them. This works anywhere, not just on the home lot.
Yess but also it’s kinda broken sometimes because I tried to ‘sell/give up for adoption’ some kittens my sim’s pet had, but they stayed in my household just greyed out.

I'd rather have the ability to switch freely between households as one does between the family members of a single household rather than having to wait until it's that family's "turn," so to speak. I'm also not too happy about trying to build a community in one lot. Yes, I'd be able to play multiple families (because the game would put them all in one household), but I'd really like to expand them out and explore the world. If all my characters are in one small community (even with the largest lot available at 64x64), I feel it'll still be just too small. Personally, It'd be cool if some families lived in apartment units whereas others live in mansions across town (almost like a modern Downton Abbey). And hence this mod. I wonder if it is possible to have household A invite household B to a party, and then after household B leaves for home, to have the ability to switch to either of them at will without having to rotate between them. Do you think this will work? Have you tried something like it in your games? Thx.

I dont think you can use it for your grandparents to babysit toddlers but maybe children? I think toddlers still have to go to day care because the game doesn’t recognize that the grandparents are watching them because they live in a different house.
waiiiit this is going to be life changing!!! i'm the same way when it comes to micromanaging everything in my game - especially storytelling wise - so this is a definte download.
lifesaver! i just had my secret Veronaville wedding with only two guests - sims of honour. And of course they were dancing and couldn't seat down... that would be so helpful for bigger events like that.
I'm so so happy you did a video on this! I too was afraid to use it. I wanted to see a Simmer I trusted use it first lol but I've had it in my files waiting to add to my Mod folder for at least a month now 😏
omg this is amazing!!!! I have really big families in the sims and, with the way i micro manage, inviting over my sims’ family is literally so stressful for me 😂 this is going to changee the game! I cant believe I haven’t heard of this mod before
I looove this mod, but I click on "add as roommates" at least once a week 😂 My current favorite new (to me) mods are any by LOT51 - especially sunrise (alarm clock), functional doorbell and simzlink. I loved theit fashion authority mod for HSY but these ones are fun as well :)

I’ve had this mod for a long while. Before getting a new pc, I kept getting a lastexception error and it kept saying that the mod needed to be updated but there is no update and everyone seems to be using this mod perfectly fine. Now that I have a brand new pc I am going to try it again and see what happens.
For my one using the Slice of Life mod from KawaiiStacie, her mod changes the pie menu and all the actions are under her SOL button instead of actions.

I used this mod before I got the Get Together expansion pack. Now, with group gatherings being a thing, I find it is no longer necessary to use this mod, as Sims now (for the most part) do what I want them to do in order to have a successful event, like a birthday party, dinner party, or wedding.

Let's say you control a sim from another family. Since they are getting *added* to the current family, are they removed from the original household? what i mean is, will they go back to their original households/families once released, or will they go into family bin? Because this is the down side of "add to family" in the first place, the sims get removed from their original households and when you remove them, they become stray sims in family bin

Does anyone have advice? I have the control any sim mod installed and it shows up in the game under game options, view custom content, but I can’t control any other sims but my family household.

I love this mod, but it kept breaking my game! It would erase my played household from exsisting. Their home and everything would stay same. Once I removed it, it didn’t happen again 😏
Im really not seein the difference between this & shift clicking the sim & choosing add to family. Both take the same amount of effort to me & do the same thing from what i see. Please explain the difference
Well from my understanding, once you’re done controlling the sim they go back to their original household as opposed to a new household created in manage households when you remove them from shift click
I can't get this mod to work at all. I don't have any other mods or CC and its all enabled in my game settings. It pops up when I turn on the game so it acknowledges I have it added but doesn't work. I have a Mac so I dunno if that has anything to do with it. :(
I’m thinking about getting a desk top computer. I have been playing on my laptop it crashed the sims is large every time there is an up date or new game it takes up more space know it won’t work at all. Wow I said all of the to say what kind of PC are you using. or can you or anyone suggest a pc that won’t break the bank😂😢😮
this mod is severely broken especially since growing together came out, the creator literally won’t update it regardless of how many people have said they have issues ☹️ it’s sad because it completely corrupted one of my saves by making the UI unclickable when going from live to build mode. Ugh it’s such a useful mod but beware of the major bugs
Documents>Electronic Arts>TheSims4>Mods. If you do not have a mods folder you can make one but it should be there. Also google is a thing you might wanna discover if you're gonna start modding.

YES! I use this especially when they go on dates so they have a better chance of liking each other and gives townies personalities

Can this turn a household member into an NPC? So that they live with me (like a partner or family member), but I do not want any control of them.

The mod hasn’t been updated in a while worked seamlessly before the update and with the new update for the sims it is now broken.
