Could i use this for metalcore. Some chugs and heavy gain?
Yes you can
The harshness in the pickups has a lot to do with the tone pot being bypassed at 10. You have to move it to 9 for it to be routed within the chain and it makes a big difference. I like having the option to go bright though!
