While the wire nuts are a good way to undo the connection I really have to wonder if you should be using water tight connectors. If by some chance the well was to fill up your current design my cause a short. There is also a bracket that can hold the pipe up while your pulling it. They run about $300 but well worth it.

I use silicone grease on all O-rings. It keeps them fresh and prevents them from drying out.
