      @@ashleysadventures ~ Holy Moly Ashley, I don’t know where to begin. 🤔 I love the fact that if there was something Elvis didn’t like, he just covered it with drapes. Lol. Great camouflage! I do remember back in the late 50’s & 60’s, (giving my age away 🤷‍♀️ ) a lot of businesses and movie theatres’ had those thick glass blocks for partitions. But I’m like you, the little dolls are fascinating. Maybe they were keepsakes of Gladys’s. Wonder where they are today? Probably in the Archives somewhere. 🔐. Anyway GREAT VIDEO and I know you had to have your “SUPER MAGNIFYING GLASSES “ on to notice all these treasures! 🧐 👀. Keep on with your bad self girl! You’re GREEAAAATT!! 🕵️ 😎 TCB ⚡️🕺👑

    Hi Ashley, great video as always 👍 I’ve asked you this question before but after some investigation I still can’t find anything regarding Elvis being brought back to Graceland? I’ve asked spaguy and mmk but nothing. I just find it really strange and intriguing that there is no footage or photos not even from the houses near the meditation garden of any graves being dug!? Also don’t you find it strange that Gladys isn’t buried next to her son? You’d have thought that Elvis would be between his parents not just next to his dad so vernon must have done that on a purpose.

    • @ashleysadventures
      @ashleysadventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! I don’t associate with spa guy.
      Nancy Rooks talks about it in her book. I think elvis and Gladys were initially buried next to each other but Vernon died so quickly and there was no other space

    I love hearing about Graceland and the secrets it holds! Amazing as always Ashley, you always do such a great job with your sleuthing. Those recliners, I can't believe they are up for sale. Wish I had to money to buy them. lol So the jug, there were two of them, but only one is visible now at Graceland. I so wish I had been watching you when I went to Graceland as I feel like I missed seeing so much. I thought I read, I believe it was the Memphis Mafia book, that Elvis had the iron put on the windows and doors after the Sharon Tape murders. So I didn't blame him for putting them on. Very cool info on Graceland, I know I will be looking at it differently if I get to go back. I always wondered what was behind those drapes on the landing of the stairs. And I thought who has white carpeting, although I know plenty who do, but with Elvis and everyone coming through, it didn't seem practical. But the beige carpet I can see. Again, great job Ashley!

      Thank you Brenda, I absolutely love making these. I miss stuff at Graceland constantly, only to notice it in my photos after I get home! I'd always heard the story about the Manson murders and Elvis getting the bars after that but the receipt definitely says April 1967. Maybe because he was about to get married, not sure.

    • @brendalawrence6732
      @brendalawrence6732 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ashleysadventures Ahhh, you are so right Ashley, the date of the receipt is before the Mason murders by a few years! It appears as though the white jugs once sat where the lions are now. That picture was from 1960. I saw a video you did with Spa Guy regarding the lions and the house where Elvis found them. In the video, Spa Guy states that Elvis would most likely pass the house on test drives of motorcycles. That was from the Audubon house to "the lion house". That would have been 1956. I always assumed that Elvis bought the lions immediately upon purchasing Graceland. Evidently not. When DID Elvis purchase the lions?
