Shankaracharya - was born from the blessing of Vadakkum Nathan.
His parents Sivaguru and Aryaamba didnot have children. Sorrowed couple came to this temple and spent many days with Bhajan. One night
Lord mahadev came in their dream and asked for a boon. They requested for a child. Bhagwan asked what kind of child they want - a good wise son who can live up to 32 or a cruel son who can live up to 100 years. They took the blessing of a good wise son and child was given the name " Shankar "

I have 3 ROSEWOOD ELEPHANTS TOTALLY WEIGHING 67 KG.All made in TRISSUR AREA, bought and shipped to my houses in 4 countries right from 1977. I paid Rs 10000 appox then today they are worth over Rs 7 lakh in INDIA.( all from monoblock..no wood joints.) .Just to know the prices because large rosewood blocks are not available.now a days.
