Name change is not required. My name is Abeer Raja and I am a Muslim. Also keep in mind whenever you change your name do keep your surname as your legacy. Like Kashmiri Muslims keep. Our surnames are Pandith, raina, Koul, Matoo, Bhat, Razdan, choudhary, Khokar, Kher, Mailk, Rajput, Kohli, lalwani and etc...
No need to change your name unless it has bad meaning.. I'm Indonesian, and we have born Muslims whose name Dewi, Khrisna, Wishnu, Arya (all Hindus/sanskrit names) even Kristina, Natalia (Christian name).....

@@Ayeza0001 Not needed sister as long as the name is not the name of a Pagan Idol or the meant something negative. If these conditions satisfies you don't need to change it. The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) didn't like negative names.
Book 25, Number 5332:
Ibn 'Umar reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) changed the name of 'Asiya (Disobedient) and said: You are Jamila (i.e. good and handsome). Ahmad (one of the narrators) narrated it with a slight variation of wording
There are several incidents where the Prophet changed the names which were negative.

My father reverted from generations of Christianity and my maternal grandmother reverted from Hinduism, a daughter of priest. Allahumdulillah now we are all in Islam. Some of the reasons why Qur’an is a miracle :
1) 1400 year book yet unchanged in the arabic language
2) contains scientific facts
3) doesn’t contradict established science
4) easy to memorize - millions of Muslims have memorized it
5) revealed to an unlettered (“ummi”) prophet (couldn’t read or write)
6) improves peoples lives
7) contains no contradictions
8) unique usage of arabic language
9) contains god’s challenge
10) has producted the largest practised relogion
11) producted the fastest growing religion
12) historical statements (pre-revelation) 100% correct
13) accurate prophecies of future events
14) facts about other religions-accurate
15) deals with diverse subject: Eg , economics , social justice , animal welfare , Environmental - yet still relevant

There are many miracles in the quran . I will tell you some of them.
1-chapter 53 of the Quran is called “the star” its only mentioned by name in the entire Quran “sirius”
The word “star” appears on the first verse of the chapter and the word “earth” appears on verse 32
They are separated by exactly 861 letters
Now here us the interesting part
The distance from the earth to the star is 861 centi light years
2-The word “sun” is first mentioned at chapter 2 verse 258 and last mentioned at chapter 91 verse 1 it’s separated by exactly 5778 verses
Here is the interesting part …
The surface temperature of the sun is 5,778 kelvin
How could anyone know these things 14 hundred years ago

My friend had a similar situation and he reverted to Islam this year in jan ❤️ he’s been practising Islam , offering Salah and fasting this Ramadan Masha Allah. Reverted Muslims are way better than us and they need our support and love. They feel lonely in their houses with their families and have to hide everything from them. I request all of us to help these people and make them feel a part of us and marry these young reverted men and women into our community Muslims so that they get a Muslim family and background

in our office in India one girl was hindu n officialy she is hindu as well but practicing Islam offer namaz n she lost her job bcoz she was practicing Islam n her previous employer said this can impact others, so before joining this office she asked that she is practing islam n will offer namaz in office if this is a problem then she won't join but fortunately our office is not conservative. We used to think that she must have one who tought her about Islam but She read Quran did not able to understand properly n then read few Hadees n than after readings n research she accept islam she did not change her name n did not disclose her religion to her family as she is not living with them due to her job . May Allah give strength to her n more people like her especially in India

Majority of us(we indian muslims) were Hindus,,before 800 years my ancestors were Hindus,by taking shahadah on the hand of a arab saint, granted my local peoples to know Islam,and 60% of our native population reverted,,,ALHAMDULILLAH, ALHAMDULILLAH,

Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked: Does a person who becomes Muslim have to change his name like George or Joseph etc?
He replied:
He does not have to change his name unless it is a name that reflects servitude to someone or something other than Allaah, but it is good to change his name to something better. So if he changes his name from a foreign name to an Islamic name, that is good, but as to whether it is obligatory, no it is not.
But if his name was ‘Abd al-Maseeh [= “slave of the Messiah”, a name common among Arab Christians; a similar name in English cultures would be “Christopher” -- Translator] or something of that nature, then he should change it, but if the name does not imply servitude to anything or anyone other than Allaah, such as George and Paul, etc., then he does not have to change it, because these names are shared by Christians and others. And Allaah is the Source of strength.

There are many miracles in the quran . I will tell you some of them.
1-chapter 53 of the Quran is called “the star” its only mentioned by name in the entire Quran “sirius”
The word “star” appears on the first verse of the chapter and the word “earth” appears on verse 32
They are separated by exactly 861 letters
Now here us the interesting part
The distance from the earth to the star is 861 centi light years
2-The word “sun” is first mentioned at chapter 2 verse 258 and last mentioned at chapter 91 verse 1 it’s separated by exactly 5778 verses
Here is the interesting part …
The surface temperature of the sun is 5,778 kelvin
