    Well done. Captain hand flying the aircraft through descent rather than doing it via “George” was refreshing. Old school is good and a confidence builder. I want this gent in the left seat in my next flight.

    That's an oldschool RAW ILS approach flown by hand. Kudos.

    Nerves of steel. Not seeing anything until the last few seconds to see the runway. Like flying blind. Just crazy. 😲

      Try to watch CATIII landing video. It's far more worst than this.

      @UCCuJEIuTopfpTAr0YNp8HGw flying blind with the side blinders, yes, but landing blind... no.

      @@azamiruddin where? I watched some pretty scary ones fogged in until 100 ft. and then the landing lights appear. I know they have that system that guides the plane in. It's just the thought. 😃

      They don't have nervs of steel and they don't need them. All they need is a correct setting of their navigation systems and altimeters. The plane finds its way to the ILS completely automatically and independent. Even the glideslope is set. Pilots are no heroes. They are good educated employes with high skills. They don't need nervs of steele.

    • @JohnSmith-uy7sv
      @JohnSmith-uy7sv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nikolauswolff5791 Never called them heros. No one is a hero. It takes nerves of steel to see nothing and depend on the plane and electronics that they are working properly. You do know electronic have glitches don't you??? All electronics have glitches from time to time.

    The Captain looks like is piloting with closed eyes

    • @joaoluizceccatto8956
      @joaoluizceccatto8956 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because he was piloting under IFR rules, fixing his eyes on his instruments, mostly at the PFD (Primary Flight Display) that shows the Instrument Landing System indications. At 9:09 the First Officer calls "runway in sight" than the Captain starts to look outside and continued landing with visual refferences.

    I have a question for everyone since America created the airplanes and the international language is English does every pilot have to learn English

    • @patverum9051
      @patverum9051 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Comms with tower and traffic control is in English,so even Chinese or Russian pilots have to be able to speak English when they fly internationally.
      BTW America builds many but not all aircraft.Airbus France builds hundreds ,
      556 in 2020...the plane in the video is one of them.

    • @TheReverses78

      ICAO authorized languages on the frequency are , English, spanish, french, arabian, chinese and russian if you fly in mexico and the rest of latin america you'll hear most conversation conducted in spanish and although portuguese isn't an icao languages it's spoken on frequency all over Brazil and course french in France and all it's territory!! America isn't the only country building planes as a matter of fact France did a lot of advance in aviation at the same time american were making advance(Louis Bleriot, Clement Ader....) actually even before the american since they created the Mongolfiere
