Hatari - Breadcrumbs @ Listasafn Reykjavíkur (Iceland Airwaves 2023), Reykjavík, 02/11/2023 New song. In English! Hatari enters a new era. All hail our new king Davið.
Epic performance! I was there as well! And of course, with a new band member it's always a big change. I didn't have any expectations, but he really did a great job. I liked the rap parts as well.
Yes! The only new songs were the 2 I've posted. Everything else was older stuff: Þræll, Ógleði, Engin miskunn, Hatrið mun sigra, Dansið eða deyið, Helvíti, Spillingardans, Klámstrákur, Niðurlut. Nothing off of Neysluvara I think 🤔
The draw of the group was the harsh sound from Matthías.. I like rap music, and i may even like this sound still... But you can't replace such a sound with a rapper. It's just not the same thing. A shame, really...
I recall an inteview, Hatari saying they would not do songs in English, as it is the language of capitalism. They should have stopped altogether when Matti left. This blows their credibility.
They never had credibility concerning capitalism, they come from high class families and when asked about merchandise answer "uhhh well we need lots of money to uhm fight capitalism..."
yeah, they've long ago said that "You can't actually be anti-capitalistic if you are born into a world where everything is controlled by capitalism and consumerism. So, we want to obliterate all that…and maybe sell a few T-shirts along the way,” Hatari says." @@LonaresGhost

@@burrgrguy9777me. I talked to Einar and he said they'll try to release the new songs earlier next year.
Einar told my friend they are working on a release next year. However we know not to hold our breath with Hatari 😅

I just realized that Matthias is no longer part of the band. Bad news.
группа движется в новом направлении. Матиас тоже растет как личность, но уже отдельно
It sure is different without Matthías, but not bad. I'm interested to see what else they come up with.
Did they play any older stuff during this set or all new?

@@pastlink Could you please share the live performance of "Klámstrákur"? I'm really curious to hear how the new vocalist sings this song

хорошо, что ребята развиваются. не нужно мыслить прошлым

They said a lot of stuff during Eurovision promo that wasn't meant to be taken seriously

That’s not the original lead singer. Pass.
