I'm curious what you and your followers think of making a "one year later" series for your favorite IEM's. How do they hold up against the newer competition? Are they still recommended? I think that would be valuable for people looking to save a little money by purchasing an older pair of IEM that are still competitive and relevant. What do you all think about this?
Have tried ISN NEO 5 with stock cable of Sound Rhyme SR7 and Radius Deep Mount ear tips. I don't know how good the ISN S4 is since I got NEO 5 in July, but SR7 cable is surely better than the S8 cable. For the upgrade less than $20, I think it is a good investment.
Great comparison. What you're saying makes total sense with respect to knowing what you're looking for in an IEM and that differences in tuning don't make one IEM better than the other. Comparisons like this help steer people towards the right IEM for their individual preferences. This is especially important when people can't afford or prefer not to own multiple IEM. For collectors like myself, it helps avoid too much overlap in our collections which is appreciated. Personally, I have ISN Neo 5 as well as other IEM that cover what the Okuvango does, so I'm good there. Penon Turbo is one I've got my sights on as a lover of tuning with good weight to the sound and as someone who listens to music where bass quality, quantity, and slam are important. That's one that will definitely cover a gap in my collection. The Neko doesn't sound interesting enough to capture my attention, and Effect cables are much overpriced for any sonic improvement they provide. Totally agree that they should've skipped the Effect cable and priced this lower to make it appeal to people other than dedicated See Audio fans. Anyway, great job as always. I very much appreciate your perspective and taking the time to do requested comparisons like this. Most reviewers don't do that and just move on to the next product they're sent which isn't as valuable. Nice job!
Neko price: Ouch 😅 All beautiful sets, we are blessed to have so many nice options in market nowadays. Great comparison Akros! Gotta recognize which tuning styles resonate with you
Hey. Thanks for all the reviews. But this is kinda low blow of you, I thought you were a grown man. Why go after another reviewer? What you say here don’t give sense as the two IEMs suit each other to be compared due to both tuning, price and configuration. Also own both sets and do think both are great, perhaps slight prefer Okavango. But maybe also due to my custom design. Keep some dignity man. I just want more great reviews from you without this mess. ❤

Love the idea. Will start working on it. Thank you

The Neo5 cable looks like spicy noodles 😂
