Listening to this makes happy following the hell of Brexit. My middle aged brain nearly collapsed in on itself learning German. Eventually passed my exams got my Citizenship. Now I don't pay tax on my Crypto after holding for a year. And I still get to travel around the EU unimpeded - so much win!
I would expect Elsalvador to be more liberal its approach and not go down the authoritarian route. globalist are not happy with El Salvador for its move making bitcoin legal tender
I was in Nicaragua during the worst (restrictive) part of Covid. No masks, no shut downs, no lockdowns. Nothing ….. was amazing! Was there between December 2020 and June ‘21
The low quality sound can't be coming from his condenser mic because he has a good one. He must have the zoom settings set to the computer mic and he's talking into an inoperative condenser mic.
Very informative and thought provoking interview, Peter. It sounds like you'll be moving ahead with the transaction. Katie is obviously extremely knowledgeable at what she does.
So glad for this interview! I just learned about Katy and that she promotes different passports but didn't know why. Now I know! Much mahalo 🙌 to both of you!
@What Bitcoin Did Great interview! Loved what Katie had to say. A thought for you sir: Panama is a great place to have permanent residence. They do not tax you on any income you earn outside of the country. Centrally located between the US and South America. And, it's just a great vibe.... So, I would say (for what it's worth) you would do well to get a passport from one of the Caribbean islands for the ability to travel when and where you want to. Then, begin to collect tax friendly residencies (residencies are easier than passports)..... But, you would need to move on the Panamanian residency soon. They are changing the program this August. Best of luck man! And, here's to personal sovereignty.
South Africa now has a similar abusive tax system similar to the USA. Not many people know this but global taxation and capital gains on unrealised profit is also applied.
In my opinion, there's a cheaper and even better solution: Become an Estonian e-resident to run your company there remotely and then never stay more than 182 in a single country. That way you pay very little corporate taxes in Estonia and zero personal taxes. -> One of the best decisions I've ever made. 🤫
@@EnderViBrittania depends where your residency is now. Plenty of TH-cam channels on tax free or low tax countries... easy to get Portuguese or Bulgarian residency if you’ve got an online income for example
As a digital nomad, I have to correct one thing: YES, you do have to register your business in a certain country. To make your life easier, I'd suggest Estonia via the e-residency program. 🙂
I've heard the thing about Netherlands being difficult about dual citizenship, but I've had no problem getting my Dutch passport as a British citizen (through my mother)
I've travelled to 132 countries. Just returned to Australia after fleeing the lockdown. Spent whole pandemic travelling. Back in Australia and not happy. I'm looking to leave Australia permanently.
I have checked out the competition on the topic and this was by far and away the most natural relaxed agenda free information flow I have experienced to date. If i ever hit my straps to join the multi-passport club Fuck you Passports are the first cab off the rank. Thanks
How does the host manage to make his mic sound so bad, and the guest sounds nice and clear? The host sounds like he’s talking into a tin can. Also interesting tactic to start the interview by saying he cancelled on her four times, that’s such a compliment.
Let me make sure I didn't miss anything. There is no website or contact info for "Katie the Russian" to start this process, correct? (Otherwise, is would have been in the description, correct?)
Katie isn't correct about the "exit tax". US citizens who want to renounce do have to pay a tax on their assets; but it's not 40% of the assets; instead, it's a tax on UNREALIZED CAPITAL GAINS; so for most people, the tax will be a lot less than 40% of the assets.
Not true what she says about leaving UK with Antigua passport. If you did not enter the UK on the Antigua passport, and you are a UK citizen, you are deemed UK resident on leaving and UK citizenship laws apply. All they do at the passport gate is look for an entry stamp on the passport...if you do not have one they assume either you are a UK citizen or that you entered illegally if you claim you are not UK . I have been down this road....it has complications and one has to be very careful on entry and exit. The days of just pulling out any passport are over...
I'm about halfway through so I'm not sure if this comes up later...but can't an individual just apply themselves and prepare their documents themselves? I'm not quite grasping what Katie's role in the process is. I don't understand why I would have to pay Katie a lot of money instead of doing it myself. Perhaps there are rules of having to go through an agent? Edit: Ok so Peter makes the point that he can probably do it himself (44:15), and Katie stays silent. Very awkward.
yes these Caribbean sound idyllic until you consider how the native populations will treat you once they find out you are a rich bitcoiner, huge security risk
I'm on the other end of the financial spectrum, so I'll be a refugee. I'll use my humble stack of silver bullion to get to the border, and Bitcoin will be there for me when I cross. 24 words.
At 40:00 Peter says that it might force governments to be more ‘competitive’… That won’t happen. As a matter of fact, big governments will be coming for a minimum tax from All countries. Draconian tax collection is coming.
I was born in Spain so I have dual citizen ship there and the US. What about me moving there? I know there are pretty much no jobs or money to be made there so I would have to live off my investments.
Wish I bought BTC years ago instead of Alts. Also didn't DCA when the crypto market crashed in 2018 and during the long crypto winter. 5 mins in an still no idea what this is about. Something about passports, living in multiple countries?! Please consider starting with an intro to the subject.
Peter, your guest is not 100% correct you would need to exit the UK ok your British passport as you are a citizen of the country you are exiting. You would use your new passport to enter your arrival county if its a better option to use in said county. Lastly the very 1st thing you Peter need to do is get your Irish passport. Its one of the best passports in the world (better than UK these days for travel) rgds

Been waiting for someone to do an interview with Katie and how this can work!
Gives an insight before talking to her :)) 👍👍👍
Is it just me, or host's microphone is not doing well?
The low quality sound can't be coming from his condenser mic because he has a good one. He must have the zoom settings set to the computer mic and he's talking into an inoperative condenser mic.
Yeah I've noticed this issue on some other episodes. The guest's mic quality is often far better. Sounds like Peter's audio feed is being compressed.
