Making Stones Reggie Bush was a Homerun waiting to happen. By far the most exciting player to watch on the saints during his tenure there imo as a saints fan. He never was the main feature back any of his yrs there(probably because of his size) but he still was pretty good. If he would’ve been the main I’m certain he would’ve had way better numbers. Not to mention he did arguably better elsewhere, but started suffering from injuries. P.s. most exciting does not mean “the best” player. Which is clearly Brees

Robert Edwards had a great rookie year then had that awful injury playing flag football at the Pro Bowl. Although he did make it back to the NFL he never was as good. He did decent in the CFL after his NFL days ended though.

Kijana Carter was the first one to come to mind. Everyone thought he was gonna be a god. His last year at Penn St. he had 23 TDs in 11 games. Just amazing. Maurice Clarett was the one that was truly special. Really special. Sadly he was a drunk too, crazy and ruined it. He was a man amongst boys.

If you look outside the power 5 and look at the mid majors you’d find Ryan Mathews of Fresno State and he was drafted by the San Diego Chargers at number 24 to replace Tomlinson. The issue is he was fumble prone. He lasted 2 seasons in San Diego and 2 seasons in Philadelphia and was soon out of the NFL.
