    I am a green belt and am currently learning this pattern. I love this video because the movements are a lot slower than other videos so I can actually follow along properly. The timing of the movements are the exact way we do it in class too so this video has been helping me tremendously. Thanks for posting this.

    There seems to be a lot of negative comments about this pattern. Perhaps stop and consider that one club in Polish ITF had over 8 world champions in the ITF (when it was a single organisation). I'd suggest that however bad you may consider the technique or pattern, the ITF standard of Polish TKD is world class.

    • @louiswashington1977
      @louiswashington1977 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Or this branch of ITF teaches this version of Won-Hyo and gives rewards and championships to people who do Won-hyo this way. I know ITK schools that would "politely" ask, "WTF are you doing"!?!?!

    • @danadouglas1968
      @danadouglas1968 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He is A world champion in ONE particular ITF but not a champion of ALL of them, which doesn't make him a true world champion. Not taking away from his abilities. His technique is good. Crisp etc. But the fact remains, until the ITF reunites (which will most likely never happen due to greed and ego especially from the group HE represents) he will always be a contender and ONLY a contender for the true champions title. He has since retired from competition and you now see another one who has always been in his shadows at THEIR "WC's". This guy also celebrates as the true world champion as well. Sad that these types can't accept reality.

    • @GizmoTKD
      @GizmoTKD 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@danadouglas1968 He was a world champion in Rimini in 2001, the last ITF World Championships before the splits started, defeating a North Korean in the final. It was the only gold in patterns taken by a non-Korean (both male and female) at these championships. He was also 9 times European ITF Champion BEFORE the ITF split. I'm not a member of this group and not a big fan of their policies, but you have to give credit where it's due. Master Suska is a real deal, and a true ITF champion from the times when ITF was still one.

    Hi I go to Taekwon-do. I have a green belt and this way I have to learn it. This is the video that my instructor sent me, I send it to me by the group, this video is the only one that helps me to learn the form and I already know the only thing that some movements do not come out at all but then everything is fine. The day I watch this video several times to learn the way and improve a little more.

    thank you. I think that would be most helpful. My personal view is that sparring training should be approached in the manner of muay thai or pro boxing. That is with a professional training program, involving nutrition, strategy, footwork, drills, etc. These things serve sport training. Then the training for self defense should be addressed separately because it is different from sport training. Also applications of techniques from patterns should be discussed. Thanks again.

It's medium.... it's just an example every video he made got at least 1 step wrong. Strange for a 6th dan.

Just try standing with your arms crossed over your chest, now raise your hands up and out like you're shouting "hooray" and then cross your arms over your chest again. Good luck.

    When a style is prescribed and learned everyone loves the effort. Those involved cheer the correct execution....But the sine wave is a sometimes and only sometimes technique to raise power and force...It does not always give the best results. Taekwondo lost a great deal of science when it decided to try something that didn't look like Karate....When it tried to be something that was new and never thought of before....That was just stupid. Japanese physics aren't any different than Korean physics....All the sine wave does is promote a pause in action and a drop in body weight that is predictable and susceptible to leg sweeps...The sine wave promotes a dropping of weight and the pause just prior....It's sloppy. Just re watch this video and only watch the feet. This guy is only doing what he's trained to do....But TKD doesn't live in a vacuum ....The other arts train against TKD...And study TKD....We should train to be prepared and not to be original in style and original...Foot movement is essential and is recognized by the casual observer and trained into the serious marital artist...And your pre stepping movements are a trigger to a knockout you didn't see coming....

      @Shawchert 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By the way you were using your words. Instead of saying g "I just don't understand ant real point to the sine wave crap" you could have said the same thing without crap you are basically saying that your opinion is superior than the creator of the actual martial arts. I don't practice sine waves. I don't care too much about them. But I do choose my wording to be slightly more respectful towards those who do believe in something I wouldn't go to a karate student and say "I don't like the crap forms you do".
