Im a teenager and i love watching this video. I like how you dont give your kids strictly healthy food but also dont give them junk either. Its a nice balance of both. And there are healthier options. Imma make some of this stuff for myself
I’m literally a 20 year old adult with NO children binge watching all of these.... lol.. literally all the way through.... idk why it’s so entertaining
I am a head start teacher and you actually give your kids more for lunch than we give them at head start. People have a misconception of poetion sizes and especially what is appropriate for little ones. You're doing great. I love your videos!
To keep food hot in those thermoses I fill the inside with boiling water while I prep the food to go inside. After at least 5 minutes or more I dump it out, dry the inside if needed, and quickly pack food and get that lid on to trap all that heat.
Wow, I always thought your portions seemed great. However they are your kids, and only you know about how much they will need each day. Plus, at their ages they would tell you if it wasn't enough food! I think your lunches are well balanced and looked yummy. I was surprised they didn't like the pizza though, that looked good! Hopefully Mommy was able to enjoy their leftovers 😁
I think it's sad that you have to justify the portion sizes you feed your kids. You are the only one who knows your kids and their habits. Don't let people make you feel bad. Kids have tiny stomachs and don't need huge meals. You're a great mom. I'm sorry you have to put up with those types of comments.
Agreed! And if your kids ate tons, people would probably comment and say you were over feeding your children too... That's just the way some people are 😊
THIS IS SO CUTE i loved your interactions with your children, just checking in with them and hearing them out and respecting their opinions. you’re a really good mom and it’s obvious how much effort you put into their meals! and you do know them best so of course you’d know the best ways to feed them. i watched the entire thing even tho i don’t have kids and won’t need this lol. wish i had a system like this when i was a kid, our food was always rushed so not a lot of variety like there is in here, and we never really got to share our input, so it’s just touching to see you communicate with your children like this. and clearly you’re doing things right because, as everyone has said, they are so well mannered!
I noticed this week you seemed to put a little more food (probably because of the comments you got about small portions) and this was some of the first times they didn't finish. Just goes to show you that YOU know your kids and their appetites better than anyone else so keep doing what works for your family 😉👍 my kids and I love watching these videos and more cooking with Mackenzie please❤
I am recovering from a traumatic experience in my childhood, where some bad things happened and food was a luxury that I had to earn. When I moved to Canada, food was everywhere! God I was happy. I ate , but then guilted myself into throwing up as I felt I did not deserve it, for I had done nothing. My mum looked for meal plans on the internet, to measure and help me eat the right amount, and we found you and your ideas. Having separate food in structured plates helps me so much....thanks for the tips, it truly does help some of us out. As for the size.....we’re all different. Food is relative .
I love how you talk to your kids before you pack their food and when they come home. It helps (you obviously know already) to know what they will and won’t eat and reduces waste.
Haha I think I trust that you know how much food to feed your own kids. Good grief. They are small children, not lumberjacks! All the lunches look delish!
Oh. My. Gosh. I reached your comment and realized I had not skipped. I actually wondered if I was ok. Guess there are amazing content creators on TH-cam. ^_^
Yum! 😋 I’m literally in high school but I’m going to make these for myself because everything looks so delicious! You seem like a great Mum, good job on the video.
I think your kids do a great job on their lunches to be honest. I dont see the point in getting frowny about them leaving a little bit of lunch. Eating to satiety is much better than forcing yourself to finish.
I love how well mannered your children are Jennifer! They are very polite and very lively this shows that you raised and raise your kids I’d say you’re a very good mommy! - Madison 🐳❤️😊
This is incredible! I remember when I was in elementary school and my mom would pack my lunches. As I grew older I didn’t pack lunch anymore I just got money to buy my own. A few months ago I got really sick and was told to start packing my own lunch. I’m in high school which means my mom won’t pack it anymore, she says I’m older and should do it on my own. Now I know this is aimed for children, BUT I enjoy the creativity and the healthy products you use!! I incorporated some things here and there in my lunch and it was delicious. You’re such a great mom and those kids are extremely lucky to have you!! ❤️
I've never actually seen a mom care about how healthy or what exactly they are sending in their kids lunch. And well I mean of course you have little ones so you probably should care. But I am so surprised they like all those foods! I'm 12 years old and I hardly like those foods lol. But also knowing me I would have tooken the whole brownie package haha. So glad you care for your kids ❤
ScarletTrash126...(I’m almost 12) my parents are super protective of what I eat, I’m not even allowed treats...I appreciate their thought process like keeping me healthy...but I kind of get sick of the same type of things for 7 years straight 😂
Awwww that sucks, When i was that age my mom always strove to send balance meals that we like. She used to cut up cheese and carrots. She also used to cut candy bars in half. I don't think we had many individually packaged bite sized candy in the 80's. I'm almost 40 and she's still like that. When I visit she tends to get the foods I like.
Oh that's so cool! Your mom must be a wonderful person :) We don't usually have time to cut up any veggies in the morning and my family is all too laz y to do it at night time haha.
i love the idea of after school talking to your kids and seeing what they liked n what they didn't, i'm usually in charge of making lunches for my cousins n siblings and this is like a really good way to see who likes what to make sure they're eating n getting all the nutrients they need
Love how you package everything in the lunchbox, so cute. I fill the thermos with boiling water for a few minutes to pre warm them- before popping anything into it, seems to keep it warmer throughout the day if that makes sense.
My baby is 19. But for some reason I love these videos lol. Thanks for sharing your adorable family with us 💜 Don't let peoples comments on portion size make you question if you are giving enough. We have a society of overweight and obese people. Teaching portion sizes early is important. I could tell you were giving them a little more. They were not eating it all. Your portion sizes (smaller) were just right! You are an amazing momma..
I'm a 7th grader and stayed for the entire video, WHICH IS FOR 2ND GRADE! I'm what's so intresting, her voice, the respone, or the lunch! But in love the ideas!!!
Try (for the thermos) put almost boiling water in it and let it sit for 5-10 min then pour the water out and put the hot food in and it should last all day.
amazing video! I'm a junior in high school and i loved watching this video! So glad you even show what they did and did not eat, even the days when clearly they were that thrilled. might take some of these lunches for myself
College student here, and I just wanna say thanks for this video! My roommate and I are gonna have a full schedule come fall so we're trying to find fun ways to meal prep lol. This video's great for us young kids trying to adult 😂
Just a tip, while you're making the Mac &cheese have some boiling hot water in the thermos it helps build the heat inside and it keeps them hot for longer
OMG!!THE BEST PARENTING VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN.Even though I was eleven at the 7th of February. Nice job!!!And your kids are amazingly cute.I am an egyptian girl who is rating your video a million out of million.
Pour boiling water in thermos let sit 5+ minutes dump out add food I do this with EVERYTHING……never tried Mac n cheese in there but keeps everything else hot so worth a try…..love the lunches inspires my kids lunches thanks
I find it hilarious that people would question how much you feed your kids. Honestly, some people! If you fed them more they'd say you're going to give them weight issues. Frankly it's nobody's business. Not that it makes a difference but I think you feed them just fine and I really love these videos. They provide so many great ideas I've used in lunches for my own kids. Thx so much for sharing!
A way to keep the food warm in a thermos is to put some really warm water in the thermos while u are making there lunch and then dump it wipe it out and then put the food in. That’s what I do and I eat at 1:00
Thank you so much! My mom and dad don't have time to make me lunch for school, so I take matters into my own hands. So you really help me with my 6th grade school mornings.... Especially cause I don't eat that much.
I think your portions are great. So many parents pack way too much! For keeping the Mac & Cheese hot, boil some water and put it in the thermoses while you're cooking the Mac & cheese to get the thermoses nice and hot. Then dump it and put the hot food in. Works GREAT for any hot food!
I love watching the lunches you make. My daughter is picky, but I am getting good ideas. I put boiling water in her thermos before and let it sit. Then I empty out the water and put in the food. My daughter says that keeps her food warmer.
Hey! Not sure if someone has mentioned this yet or not, but we always put boiling water into the thermos and allow it to sit ( with lid closed) for about 10 minutes. Then empty the water and add contents you'd like to eat. Hope that helps!
Well, I do pack small portions too, cuz I have big breakfast and dinner. So I totally understand you. I like your videos and your kids are just adorable.
I don’t know if you know this trick but try boiling water and putting it in the thermos for a few minutes then pour the hot water out before putting the hot mac n cheese in the thermos
These were helpful ideas for spicing up my boys' lunches. They pack their own now (hallelujah!), but I still want to give them good options. Thanks for sharing... My youngest watched with me!
Love the ideas and the containers but do you actually make something yourself from scratch or is it all store bought n instant I follow your instructions I love your videos but I always make my food from scratch it has way less preservatives n other chemicals
Try putting boiling water in the thermosses and leave it in for about 5 mins that way it will usually stay warm till lunch or pack some thing with more saucepan 1
Idk if someone has already said this but with the thermos I find that if you put some really hot water in it and let it sit closed for 5 mins and then put the hot food in it the food stays hot until lunch. My son said it works and he like his food hot.
Really interesting to see this lol most of this would not be allowed in our schools here in Ireland. The fruit and vegetables are fine of course. It gets challenging to come up with ideas to make lunches interesting.
Some schools are stricter than others but the norm would be no nuts, baked goods, chips, candy, cookies, processed food, cheese strings, fromage frais, granola.... Blah blah blah ... My little boy is only in Senior Infants and I'm running out of ideas haha I'll have to start cutting up his fruit in different shapes to make it interesting.
Same here in Australia it's so hard! We aren't allowed anything resembling chocolate, only water and no nuts at all. We are only allowed to use reusable packaging too or they name and shame.
where did you find the packages of the chocolate chip animal cookies at ? I bet you like when the kids sometimes don’t like something you give them in their lunch and they bring it home because it means more for you if you like it
I use these ideas even though I’m not a mom. I’m not even a teen yet! But I make my little brother’s lunch and he loves the triple decker peanut butter and banana sandwich! I use these in my lunch, too. I also think you’re a great mother and your kids are so polite. Keep it up!😊
I love fry sauce. I live in Utah and forgot is it popular here, because it is just a normal thing so when I saw the lunch I just thought," That looks good". Anyway I found your channel last night and my cousins called so I wasn't able to subscribe then, but I'm a supporting subscriber now.
I'm a high school senior and I have been watching your videos. I'm obsessed and I'm not even a mom! Honestly just preparing myself for feeding myself in college lol.
the little container for the ranch is just adorable!! i sent this video to my husband because he’s the one who makes lunches lol now he has some new ideas ☺️
I hand stitched a wash cloth in a loose sock / pouch shape which I put over the thermos. that acts as a little insulation. I also do this for frozen water bottles so as they melt during the day the table and lunch box doesn't get wet.
You make lunch look fun ! I love the hot dog octopus very clever! You just earned a new subscriber!
Jessica Martinez der Octopus Hot Dog schmeckte mit Sicherheit nach gar nichts, weil sie ihn im Wasser kochen ließ nachdem sie ihn aufschnitt.😂

It’s great to see someone that takes such good care of their kids. I wish more people were like this.

I agree with MacKenzie. If the orange is going to squirt in my eye, it's too much trouble! Not worth it! LOL
I don’t eat oranges just because of all the work 😂
I appreciate that you cook the meals in front of us and then you pack them up!!!!!😁❤️

Lol! Just that image of a pirate who turns around and then zooms in on the booty, and yes I am a weirdo!
amazing mom
Lol

I can tell Lilly is the youngest one by the portions she eats❤ i love how they like fruits & veggies as much as the snacks
Even though I'm not a mom you should get kraft Mac n cheese it has some more sauce and when my mom packed it in my thermos it was warm.
Wow. It’s amazing how much effort you put into making your kids‘ lunches...
Just a tip, while you're making the Mac &cheese have some boiling hot water in the thermos it helps build the heat inside and it keeps them hot for longer
I think that's what she does lol
Watching this makes me so excited to be a good mom when i get kids myself!
Lol why am I watching this I'm about to go to 6th grade
But the weird thing is that I'm actually really entertained

Do you home school them? Or do they go to public school?
They are home schooled but they go on Co-op some days of the week
April Kyle what is co-oop or whatever you said 🤔?
Pour boiling water in thermos let sit 5+ minutes dump out add food I do this with EVERYTHING……never tried Mac n cheese in there but keeps everything else hot so worth a try…..love the lunches inspires my kids lunches thanks

Oh, and breakfast videos would be great too!
I love how she learns what the kids do and don’t like and builds of that.
Sitting here on a Saturday night watching a 17 minute video on school lunches when I should be studying 😂 idk why this video was so entertaining
Aww Thumbs up for the cute little voices. Thanks for the inspiration!
A way to keep the food warm in a thermos is to put some really warm water in the thermos while u are making there lunch and then dump it wipe it out and then put the food in. That’s what I do and I eat at 1:00

What a great momma you are! Great lunch ideas!
To keep the Mac and cheese warm you first have to put hot water in the thermos for 30 sec to 1 min. Dump the water and then Mac and cheese
I love watching the lunches you make. My daughter is picky, but I am getting good ideas. I put boiling water in her thermos before and let it sit. Then I empty out the water and put in the food. My daughter says that keeps her food warmer.
If u want to keep it warm pour hot water from a kettle and keep it in the while cooking your food
Is anyone else not a mom or a little kid but just finds these videos really entertaining, like I'm 14
I love Bunches of Lunches videos! 👌🏻💕👍🏻
Hey! Not sure if someone has mentioned this yet or not, but we always put boiling water into the thermos and allow it to sit ( with lid closed) for about 10 minutes. Then empty the water and add contents you'd like to eat. Hope that helps!
Omg thanks so much for liking it!!!
I was going to make the exact same suggestion! Pre-heating the thermos is an extra step that pays off.
Finally a back to school video that is not useless
It feels like I'm watching a cooking show (I love it)
Thanks so much!!
I don't even have kids, I just love how cute and adorable you make all these lunches. Maybe ideas for the future one day for me
Try putting boiling water in the thermosses and leave it in for about 5 mins that way it will usually stay warm till lunch or pack some thing with more saucepan 1
Sorry I meant sauce not sauce pan
Idk if someone has already said this but with the thermos I find that if you put some really hot water in it and let it sit closed for 5 mins and then put the hot food in it the food stays hot until lunch. My son said it works and he like his food hot.
i like how i'm watching this and i'm still in school and don't have any kids
You are awesome!
The Family Fudge awe thank you so much you're so kind!

the little girl is so adorable! she is so honest lol
Do you require you kids to eat all of their dipping sauce as well? It seems like you make it a point to mention that they dont finish their sauce.
RaeNation she wants to see if she should pack it again and how much
I love the set up of your video! Straight to the point but not too fast. Also some great lunch ideas for all ages!
Lmao I wish I had thought of the juice squirting in my eye to get out of eating apples in my younger yrs! Brilliant lmaooo
Like your recipes and you have a beautiful family. Your bubbly personality makes my day.
Really interesting to see this lol most of this would not be allowed in our schools here in Ireland. The fruit and vegetables are fine of course. It gets challenging to come up with ideas to make lunches interesting.

Holy smokes that is a lot of restrictions!!!!
Same here in Australia it's so hard! We aren't allowed anything resembling chocolate, only water and no nuts at all. We are only allowed to use reusable packaging too or they name and shame.
karen kahler what's name and shame??
Kenzie is sooo good in the kitchen, I need her as my helper. ❤️
where did you find the packages of the chocolate chip animal cookies at ? I bet you like when the kids sometimes don’t like something you give them in their lunch and they bring it home because it means more for you if you like it

One of the ways you can keep mac and cheese warm is you can put in warm water before you put it in🆗
For the thermos u can try to put hot water in the container while u cook to keep the walls of it warm then dump the water and fill with desired food
I love fry sauce. I live in Utah and forgot is it popular here, because it is just a normal thing so when I saw the lunch I just thought," That looks good". Anyway I found your channel last night and my cousins called so I wasn't able to subscribe then, but I'm a supporting subscriber now.
You are awesome!
The Family Fudge thank you
When using the thermos for keeping lunches warm I first fill them with hot water and then tip it out before putting the food in to pre warm the food!
We have the sauce with mayo tomato sauce and pickle juice but it’s called burgers sauce xx
You are a great mother to your kids!😁😁

I love ur videos!
I hand stitched a wash cloth in a loose sock / pouch shape which I put over the thermos. that acts as a little insulation. I also do this for frozen water bottles so as they melt during the day the table and lunch box doesn't get wet.
