I think there is more chance that Dean is inspired by Zion T since Zion T has debuted 4 years before Dean
Always love zion.t style and message bring out from all of his songs.
His "Yanghwa bridge" really heals me a lot during the time I was working overseas away from family, seriously have to recommend this song.
Zion T is easily one of my favorite artists, he’s just able to put out gold everytime he releases music. I highly recommend listening to Snow (he sung this with a respected older singer), May, Yanghwa Bridge, and Eat. There’s def many more great songs of his but these are my fave :)
I think his killing voice is a wonderful sampler of his work. I first heard Zion t on an underground rap track back in 2009 and I needed to know who it was who was singing. I ADORE his voice. All of his albums are amazing, and you need more of him Linton, easily. So many artists look up to him. His style is trademark easily. Yanghwa Bridge is a track that gets covered a lot. Jungkook actually covered it himself in his early bangtan career. 💖

Zion.T is so awesome. At one point last year I streamed basically just him on Spotify for several days and found myself in the top like 1-3% of his listeners ☠️ his stuff never gets old. He has such a distinct and recognizable flair. I can always tell when he had a hand in something, which is the same way I feel about like Pharrell Williams who also has a really distinct production/compositional/vocal style

i think the way the song isn't that much conroversial is like he's singing it to his girl and not to every girl, like he doesn't say every women should just not wear makeup, he's saying to his girl that he appreciates a lot of her with or without make-up and more so not just not wearing make-up but when his girl is showing him her beauty that no one else sees
