This is my dream truck. First thing I did on mine was add the GMC front and rear Brembo brake package and Borla cat-back exhaust with quad tips in gloss black. Hated the chrome HDMI port looking exhaust tips. The truck stops on a dime with the brake upgrades. Immediately swapped out the crappy Bridgestone Alenza highway tires for some Toyo Open Country AT/III that increased the ride quality, control and comfort dramatically. Next I added the OEM metal Under-Body Skid Shield Package to replace the cheap factory plastic one. Installed an S&W Cold Air Intake with the oil filter and this 6.2L engine breaths effortlessly and gets up real fast. Tip, put her in Sport mode with Auto 4-wheel drive engaged and it’ll rip off the line. Lastly, I removed the chrome lug nuts and replaced them with black chrome ones to match my black wheels. Much cleaner look and the wheels appear to float. At 6’5” this truck has plenty of legroom for me and I love the high height of the seating position. Only complaint is the seats are a little stiff and smaller compared to my previous Ram 1500 Laramie. The 6.2L engine does drink gas so get the Duramax 3.0L turbocharged diesel engine if you’re worried about the high cost of fuel.
Everything you did is exactly what I would do for the perfect truck! Nice work. I bet that is one awesome ride.

I would like to tell you guys that if you have a trailer ball installed in the hitch and you put the step down it will hit the ball and put a dent in the tailgate which will show when the tailgate is closed. GM needs to put some type of warning about this defect on the tailgate (inside) and in the Owner's Manual. Another great review. WOW! That is one beautiful truck.
No panoramic roof, no rear climate controls or ventilation…GMC cheaped out for this price.

There are rear HVAC vents for the rear passengers in the back of the center console so there is rear ventilation, but you are correct, no Panoramic sunroof or rear climate controls unfortunately.
Not to forget no adjustable foot pedals.
And no reclining rear, cool seating.
I would never buy a truck with a sun roof. It’s just a leak prone weak spot. Learned my lesson on that one on my 2012 f350 lariat.

Have a 2019 Sierra SLT premium plus package, thought someday I would upgrade to the Denali but no Panoramic sunroof is a deal killer for me. I will keep my 2019
The Ultimate makes a great case for itself over the standard Denali(mostly). The interior is notable step up in finishing, and I'm not a chrome person, so I'd prefer the Vader chrome over the standard Denali(though for the price, GMC should've carried the Vader across the entire vehicle). And of course, I always think the GMC Denali always shows best in black.
All of that said, I wish GMC would've went just a notch further, again for the money. Super Cruise should've been standard, and I think the rear seat area could've added rear seat ventilation/recline, as well as rear window screens. I don't think the panoramic roof is as big of a miss on the truck as people are saying,(I have one and rarely if ever use it). Overall though, this is a big improvement. However I still think the Ram Limited has the edge.

They haven't done nearly enough. Compare this Denali Ultimate to a RAM Limited Elite. They are apples to oranges.
Ir dosen't make sense supercruise isn't standar in US. But here in canada it make sense beacause supercruise dosen't work in canada.

Congratulations!! Mine was built 9 weeks ago and still no ETA. Still sitting at the factory. I ordered it in January 2022. Due to chip shortages and supply chain issues it was not built in the 22 model year. So its a 23 and no super cruise due to parts supply issues. They said they cannot add later due to safety concerns. I hope to be enjoying mine soon. It’s been a year, a looooong wait.

Happy holidays everyone! We want to correct one error in regard to the powertrain. The 3.0L Turbo-Diesel makes 10% more power for 2023: 305 HP and 495 lb.ft. We regret the oversight.
I don’t think people are too worried about that, I think they are more worried about a mortgage payment for a truck😝

The RAM Limited is still light years ahead of this truck from a luxury perspective. Not even close. Single pane sunroof? Leaf springs? No reclining rear seats? No ventilated rear seats? No rear seat center console for your passengers? No premium audio offering? Seriously, five years later, and the RAM is STILL years ahead of this truck.
Would be nice to see oem box cover which keeps golf clubs free from dust
Hi Car Confections Can You Make The 2023 Ford F-150 Limited
A few things on this truck that make it come up short 1. small sunroof, needs a panoramic roof. 2. Rear doors don't open up 90 degrees like the RAM rear doors, that is super nice if you have ever checked out the RAM rear doors. 3. The rear of the back seat area is not pretty, it just has a cheap fold down cup holder and the rear part of the console looks cheap..again RAM has the best fold down center rear area and the best rear console with nice buttons and look. 4. The rear part of the floor is not flat, it's raised slightly which makes it kind of strange and uncomfortable in the back. 5. Door panels do not look that great for such a luxury vehicle, again, RAM or F150 do a better job. Having said that, what a beautiful truck and it is so awesome. If GM could just update those few things this would be the perfect truck!

pretty nice, I'd still go for an F150 platinum power boost loaded to limited features over this but there are a couple areas I give this the W. The non-panoramic sunroof is a big oof
I would still go for a super duty lariat black package or a f150 high country still more cheaper and looks amazing. I respect people who have the money for this truck for me I love Denali trucks but 90k for this truck man I don’t know

They bumped up the numbers on the diesel this year. I think its 305 HP with the 23s and something like 495 or 500 ft/lbs of torque and the 5.3 is not available with the Ultimate only the Duramax or 6.2. I just bought one in pearl white on Monday with the Duramax. Kinda wanted the 6.2 but this was all that was available and I am liking it so far. Really should have had that Vader chrome throughout. Or at least that bottom piece on the bumper
I am really considering the Duramax. How has the maintenance been? I've never owned a diesel. This will be my main vehicle and upkeep is a concern. Do you need to keep DEF fluid with you all the time?

As stated in the video, we had to switch to a regular Denali with the diesel for the drive 👍
Drove one of these with the 6.2L and the 2023 F150 Limited Powerboost and the Ford blows the GMC out of the water
After bouncing between Dodge, GMC, and Ford. Ford won the game with their Powerboost and 7.2 kw generator, nothing comes close.. yet.

Ultimate for sure between those two, IMHO.
$100,000 in Canada...I don't care how luxurious the truck is $100k for a half ton truck is insane and totally unacceptable...I can afford one no problem but be damned if I'm going to go pay GM Dodge or Ford that kind of coin for a half ton truck...heck I paid less money than that for my new 2019 Z06 Vette which don't depreciate near as much as a truck...I'll hold on to my 2017 Ram Longhorn Edition till these insane prices go back to reasonable territory.
Sorry to tell ya but as long as folks keep buying them the prices will not go down. Oh and by the way, I also can afford one, so I bought one and gave my son my 2018 Ram Laramie Limited. Love my new Denali.

I bought the reg Denali and ordered it with the 6.2 motor, wheels and options I preferred.

I'm big gmc guy but I just think ford/ram has taken over the luxury scene and I think fords platinum/limited and rams limited are just so much nicer options. also gmc still using the same 6.2 for the past 10 years which its a good motor for sure but time for a change tbh and I've heard people say buy a denali to impress others but buy fords platinum/limited or rams limited to impress yourself.
The 6.2 is a great engine and I would take it over any of the options either of the other 2 offer. Especially with what I have seen and I am a dealer and have a garage so not like I am just hating lol. That 5.7 has had serious issues with blown head gaskets, oil pump issues. I have 2 customers that have had to rebuild their 3.5 at least once. One of them 2 brand new short blocks. He went through 3 engines in less then 160k miles. If you don't want the 6.2 you can get the Duramax. I think Ford did away with their diesel and Ram I think this is the last year they are going to offer it. I actually have one of these. I bought a 23 Ultimate on Monday. I sure didn't buy one to impress a Ford or Dodge guy I could give a shit what they think lol. Those v6s and the 5.0 and the 5.7 Ford and Ram use aren't anything new either they have used those engines for a long time too

What is the exchange rate though. Our $84k has to be about the same as what you are paying up there in Canadian dollars. I actually bought one of these Monday and it was $85k out the door including the taxes. Then I got $1500 of it back because its a diesel and they didn't give the discount to me at first when I went in and paid Friday so when I went back to get it Mon got that $1500 back.

No super cruise self drive. My 2022 Ultimate has it and thought it was standard.
Most came without it in 22 and now is optional in 23
Its a $3500 option.
Very nice truck. I wish I could drive one though and own it. But I will have to stay with GMC Terrain for my next car. Why can’t I afford it? Simple answer - Money. Everything needs money, there no arguing that. I need to work 80 hours minimum to get a little peak at it though, 😂. Haha. I just keep dreaming… 😂

Depends where you live. I bought one Monday and paid $500 tax and title. You have to insure and fuel any vehicle you own. My insurance went up but it would have with any new car I bought. Since it is replacing my old 08 LTZ Silverado anything new is going to have a lot higher value then something that old and my insurance still only went up just short of $500 a year. I don't know exactly what the yearly property taxes will be yet but I don't have to worry about that for a year. Since I switched the plate from the old truck to the new one and the taxes were due now, I just paid the tax based on the old truck and the dealership said since the tag is being switched I won't have to pay the property taxes on the new truck till the next time property taxes on that tag are due April next year. Assuming it will be $300. I only pay around $500 property taxes on my house and my house is worth 4-5x what this truck is

Its nothing compared to some of what I have seen. I bought one of these Monday and looked at some others. Its crazy what some of the F150s were. The one bigger Ford dealer here had 2 of these hideous XLTs that I guess are some sort of special edition but they had cloth and all in them and they were over $60k. Had some hideous 2 tone paint and they are just an XLT but I guess they have the max tow package I think and the 3.5 and some other options that add up the price but they weren't that fancy they still didn't even have leather and the colors were awful. One was a red and black the other was like a blueish grey and black had really ugly rims. I think they were called Heritage edition. The one was $62k I think and the other $65k I believe.
Denali less than a year old. Nothing worked, so I applied for emergency service, but the dollar only told me to wait 2 months. What do you have to ride in the meantime... this is the reality gmc customer services

I built this truck online recently..$1043 lease payment for 48-mts…or $1516 for 60 months-(including 6% tax and title)..these are really getting out of blue collar peoples affordability….I remember when $1400-$1500 was Escalade payment territory.

The Tri-Mode Articulating power running boards are NOT optional on the Ultimate, it is a standard feature...

On the Denali they are optional, on the Ultimate they are standard
Pretty much everything is standard on the Ultimate they all come with the power running boards. About the only thing I think that is optional for the most part is supercruise for $3500 more they all have adaptive cruise though and some of the colors are extra I know mine is pearl white and that was an $1100 charge and you can pick the 2 engine options. I actually got $1500 off for it being a Duramax but I think GM is having some sort of deal going right now on half ton diesels.
Why don't these manufacturers offering rear steering on these hehemoth trucks and SUVs ? Try parking one these days. Dosen't have to be for high speed. Just for tight space agility
I have no problem and I actually have one of these. Just brought home my 23 Ultimate Monday. Have no issue with my 2019 Suburban I have had since 19 either or my older trucks that don't have the backup cams or any of the stuff these modern cars have.
So no one realized they swapped trucks for the test drive

Ram still edges GM out when it comes to interiors even though GM did improve enough with their interiors but still lacking out of panoramic sunroof which the Ford and Toyota does offer!

I think soon fullsize trucks will phase out their V8 engines to turbos. This is yo reduce fuel emission that the world is trying to achieve. The 2023 tundra has already stop producing V 8 and will not bring back the V8 again
