I like prints, but I stick to classic ones, mostly. Florals and tropical prints are tricky. I like modern one color plus white prints for florals. The more colors in a print or pattern, the trickier they are to wear. I love dots, stripes, checks/plaids, some other geometrics, and some neutral-color animal prints like leopard, which I think is fairly classic now because it has endured for decades. I resisted leopard prints for a long time, because in my youth it was association with sleaziness, but that’s changed and the garment cut matters a lot, it’s classier in a silk shirt, than in leggings or a tube top, for example. I never wear novelty prints, like those with lobsters, anchors, ice cream cones, animals, balloons, etc., they’re very twee. I love classic baroque prints, but rarely see them except in silk scarves, which I love, or at Versace, in crazy colors, but which are out of my league!

Haha! Grandma blouses. My grandmother was from Poland, and she wore "grandma dresses" and floral grandma aprons ! She was the best cook, though! 👩‍🍳

Anna, thank you for your comment. Your family history is very interesting and now you live in Budapest. Living abroad is sometimes challenging, but it is a great opportunity to gain a new perspective. 😀 Btw please let me know what women wear there the most? I hope it is a great source of inspiration.

@@polishedbykamila in this 42 C heat maxi summer dresses strapless, or thin spaghetti straps, or short mini dresses, everyone wears sneakers with everything here due to the cobble stone and uneven streets.

I’m not surprised that you don’t like mustard or some browns and greens. You have Summer (cool, soft) coloring and should stick to lighter, cool-toned colors. White, taupe, soft blues, cool pinks and cool greens will look best on you, avoid anything yellowish or very dark, like black. I didn’t understand what you said: “black, navy and gray tend to adhere? appear?” Neither makes sense.

I’m 62, and most of this year’s dresses just aren’t sophisticated for me, all those florals, ruffles and tiers, they’re just too girlish.

I hate black, it makes me look sick and ill-nourished, anemic. Black emphasizes pallor, undereye and other shadows on the face, and wrinkles. I love cool pastels, white and cool neutrals. ( I have Summer coloring, like you). Black actually looks good on very few women, and it doesn’t work with colors, it just sucks the life out of them. White, on the other hand, looks great with every other color. I won’t be wearing those trendy bright colors, they are too strong for my soft coloring. One doesn’t see me in them, one just sees that bright color dominating me. They don’t suit everyone, designers and brands just brought them out so that we will buy more clothes and accessories and make us feel like the colors we have are out of style.

Kimberly, WOW! It is great that you know what you like and invest in clothes which actually make you feel good and beautiful. 😀 I see so many women who follow crazy trends or buy fast fashion. That's why, I started this channel. I would like to change the fashion industry for the better, at least a little bit. If you have any suggestions, what videos you would like to see in the future, please let me know.
Speaking about summer. I have love/hate relationship with this seasonal color analysis. It could be helpful, however there are so many subcategories, cool, warm, clear... It can be confusing. Actually I was told that I'm Spring. In my opinion the best approach is the trial and error method. Additionally, taking photos of our outfits could show us how we look and how we feel because at the end our style and fashion should embrace our personality.
