I think the timing of advice matters just as much as the content: if you tell me something I need to hear, but I'm not in the headspace (or mature enough) to receive it, I might miss out on great advice that could save me time and heartache. But sometimes, it's enough to just plant that seed and trust that it will grow in time. People told me things when I was younger that didn't click until I was well into adulthood - for some of us, life has to knock us around a bit before we pay attention. Given what Yunjin has been through (or at least, what she chooses to share), I'm sure that extra encouragement and advice would have helped some, but as the saying goes, hindsight is 20/20. And even Yunjin herself says (in her first Fim-Log I think) that as painful as her training years were, those experiences helped shape her and led her to where she is now.
I am so happy that she decided to give the idol industry one last shot - and I know the Fimmies are, too. 😊💙
